I’ve been here 3 times usually go to the other location in Wayne where the staff is definitely more welcoming and friendly. First visit was positive, I can’t recall the woman’s name but she was absolutely a delight to speak to. Extremely friendly and welcoming. Went back a second time to place an order and the employee was not very friendly nor welcoming. Picked up my order today, dealt with the same employee and asked if I could take a look. She was very annoyed that I even asked. I wanted to be sure my order was correct so I didn’t think it was odd to request this. I said thank you in a polite manner and amazingly she said you’re welcome. I see other older reviewers praising this employee which I don’t understand. I thought maybe I caught her on a bad day the first time but the second time again not welcoming and annoyed by my presence. I think I’ll stick with the Wayne location even though they have told me that’s where they bake the majority of their cakes.

Visited this establishment after seeing the photos on google. I was tasked with purchasing a dessert for a friends party nearby. I am not from this area and saw a cake labeled a “Rocher Cake”. My wife & I thought this may taste like the one from Gencarelli’s bakery. Hazelnut heaven!!
But we were seriously incorrect. We were told the cake is frozen so it will take two hours to thaw, ok that’s fine. Finally the moment when we sliced into this beautiful cake 3+ hours later…. Utter disappointment and sadness well, there was nothing hazelnut on this cake except maybe the color & nuts placed on the sides.
The cake had a citrus, orange wetness taste between layers of chocolate and the kicker… they charged $50+ for this 9 inch monstrosity. There were more than 20+ adults at this party and the photo below shows how much of this cake was actually eaten. Thanks but we will definitely not be a returning customer & we honestly felt like we got ripped off.

Dark Humor
Where to begin. I’ve been here on a couple of occasions and everytime I overhear conversations that 1. Should be kept quiet, and 2. Employees/managers should be nicer to eachother. I was met with this short blonde haired older lady. She had a terrible attitude, and seemed very obnoxious, not someone you want to be meeting your customers face-face. Seemed very bossy for a low level position such as front desk. I even understand in Italian and once before I overheard them saying some extremely rude things about customers/fellow employees. I will not be returning and I don’t recommend anyone to come here.

It really kills me to write this review because I absolutely have always loved the desserts of this business but I recently ordered a $220 sheet cake for a 100 person party for my daughter’s baptism. On the day of the party, I sent my father to pick up the cake. The ladies at the counter would not give him a cake without the paper that we had filled out on the day that we ordered the cake. I have a five month old daughter and a lot going on so I did not hold onto this piece of paper. I was in the middle of setting up the party when I received the phone call they were arguing with me and would not give my father the cake I told him the name on the cake, which is a very unique name and also provided the proof of payment. This was still not enough. I was in tears and it ruined such a perfect day I had massive anxiety the rest of the day, and it totally threw off the entire energy of my daughter’s baptism, leaving us with a terrible taste in our mouth of this business. Unfortunately, I will say that we will not be coming back to order for parties again as this truly was just so upsetting. The two women were very nasty on the phone stating that they could lose their job over giving us this cake I highly doubt that there was anyone else that day with a sheet cake that would feed 100 people that said God bless on it and also said my daughter’s name it was an unnecessary form of stress. The cake however tasted good, which is why I’ve decided to give two stars instead of one, but the cake could’ve been the best thing I’ve tasted in the entire world, and I will still not return due to the horrible customer service
