The food was delicious! The bacon cheeseburger, tater tots, hamburger, fries, hamburger steak, cabbage, mashed potatoes, and okra were top notch. I would recommend this food to anyone! Friendly staff too!

This was literally the worst food we have ever eaten and it was $53 for three of us. The fried chicken was dry and flavorless. The fried green tomatoes were soaking in grease. The rice left a puddle of starch water on the plate. Every single vegetable had pork in it. The cornbread tasted like straight cornmeal. The gravy was awful tasting. It was super hot inside the restaurant. This was disappointing as we like to support local businesses, but never again. Don’t waste your hard earned money.

Came for the advertised buffet lunch, only to discover it’s been discontinued. Ordered a cheeseburger and the meat+three. Both were decent/pretty good. Only one server, so things were a bit slow. If we come back, it will be to try the buffet available on Sundays only.

They were closing when we arrived. Agreed to cook us a hamburger steak with onion gravy, green beans and creamed potatoes. Fair priced, good food. Green beans were quite sweet, otherwise I’d have given them 5 stars for the food.

Over time they’ve switched to such cheap plates and plasticwear that you can’t even eat your food with it. They are the highest southern buffet around here and I used to not mind paying the extra cost because they have good food but not anymore. They are acting like a greedy corporation, trying to cut costs at every turn. At least give out some decent silverware that can cut into a smothered pork chop or pull a piece of meat off chicken. Better hold your thin paper plate with both hands and don’t grip your 4″ plastic cup too hard.

Great food but some of their greedy practices will have you wondering if it’s worth it. About $3 for tea and it’s served in a flimsy child cup. They will not give you a glass of water, you must pay for bottled. If they run out of food on buffet, they will not refill it even if it’s more than an hour before it ends. However, if you don’t mind the price and can get there early it’s really good southern food.

We went for dinner tonight and WOW!!! Had a buffet with fried chicken, fried fish, mashed potatoes and gravy, lima beans, purple hull peas, cabbage, fried okra, Mac n cheese, corn bread and rolls… Between us we tried it all and it was AMAZING!!!! Fried chicken was crisp and seasoned perfectly, fish was crisp on the outside and moist in the middle with a wonderful flavor. All the vegetables tasted like sitting at grandma’s table. They had banana pudding for dessert but we were too full to try it. If you are in the area Bucks Cafe is a MUST TRY!!! A true hidden gem in the country!!!
