Palace Southside in Lakeland is an absolute gem for Italian food lovers! The Chicken Marsala was tender and flavorful with its rich mushroom sauce, the Rigatoni Bolognese tasted like it came straight out of an Italian kitchen, and the fresh salad and crispy bread were the perfect starters. The Toscana wine paired beautifully with our meal, and finishing off with their creamy tiramisu was the highlight of our evening. The cozy atmosphere and attentive staff made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine and an unforgettable dining experience!

Delizioso! I love trying neighborhood Italian restaurants when I travel and my experience here was fantastic! Friday nights are busy, but it didn’t take long to get a table.
Everything my group sampled was fresh and delicious!! I recommend the Rustica Salad, Rigatoni Norcina (sausage, bacon, mushrooms in a light cream sauce), White Pizza (we added fresh basil on top), and the authentic cannolis!
Peruse the Weekly Specials board if you can’t decide what to try! My hosts, who are regulars, say it’s all perfection– all the way down to the al dente noodles!!

So I’ve recently started coming here since about aug. Last year and been getting slices Everytime just because they r cheaper than buying a pie and fills my pizza craving . Every time I come here I feel its like I got to tell em how to cook my slices . I know u have the slices already made but how u serve me a (warm) pizza slice . Not even a crispy crust or anything . So than I tell em to give it to me hotter . Look at this the chicken is just falling off the pizza. It’s dry and it looks like they just threw it on while it was in the oven . This palace pizza sucks compared to the mulberry one . I don’t know how it has a good rating . U have Spanish people running a Italian joint which is one thing but how are to of the same franchise completely different. If you want palace pizza go to mulberry

Our soccer team has been visiting Palace South Side for 5 years during our annual Florida Soccer Classic trip. It’s always our favorite dinner in Lakeland ( we hit 5 different restaurants too). Danial & his staff do an amazing job. The food is excellent & his recipes ROCK! It’s a must if you like homemade Italian foods. Great customer experiences!

We stopped by Southside Palace for lunch and had a great experience. We ordered two medium pizzas for the crew from We Do It All Trees & Landscape, LLC, and everything came out hot, fresh, and exactly what we needed after a long morning of work.
The crust was cooked perfectly — not too crispy, not too soft — and the toppings were generous and flavorful. You can tell they take pride in their food. Both pizzas were consistent, sliced well, and served quickly, which is huge when you’re on a work schedule.
The service really stood out too. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and made sure we were taken care of without any hassle. It’s always appreciated when you walk in as a work crew and still get treated with respect and good service.
The place was clean, comfortable, and just an overall solid lunch spot. We’ll definitely be back again when we’re in the area working.

We chose Southside for an event we needed to cater. So we tried their food beforehand in house. The atmosphere is small but cozy and quaint. Service was very attentive. The food was fantastic.
For our catered event we went with arancini, meatballs, rigatoni alla vodka, eggplant and chicken parm, tortellini pesto, chicken piccata, anti pasta platter, arugula and ceaser salads.
They do not deliver catering. But we picked up our order and it was packed perfectly. And arrived unscathed.
Our guests , about 40+ loved it all especially the chicken piccata, first food item gone. We were extremely pleased by the quality and taste of the food we ordered.
Either way you go, cater or take out or dine in, you will not be disappointed.

Love their pizza. The service is hit or miss. What’s with the garlic knots? I ordered some with my last order (this past Friday), and they showed me a burnt portion of garlic knots and asked if they were too cooked for me. I said they looked burnt, so they made another order. I got home and upon giving the garlic knots to my family we found that they were dry, over cooked, and seemed old. at $5 for 3 garlic knots I expect better, and it’s really bad service all around. Asking a customer if they want burnt knots- the answer is obviously not. Then giving a customer dry, over cooked knots- also not great. Do better.
