This little, tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant with a boarded up front window is incredible. I’ve eaten there probably 10 times now waiting to find something to complain about and besides the discomfort of my back in their booths I have nothing bad to say. Their food is incredible and consistent. The egg roll are top notch, the sweet sauce is delightful, the hot and sour soup is amazing and the won ton soup is tasty. The bbq ribs are so so good. Nice and tangy. Then the Beef and peapods never disappoints, the Mongolian Shrimp is just right and the Empress Chicken with pan fried noodles is scrumptious. There’s never anyone in there when my husband and I are there…I don’t know why. The food is great!!

Shrimp have a strange texture. Egg foo yong is like mushy/RAW inside. Didn’t used to be. Beef chow mein Cantonese was all noodles. All in one container, noodles. Should be separate.(used to be.) sweet-and-sour pork all breading. Tiny bits of pork that were dry. Unbelievably bad. THIS PLACE IS SLIPPING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW. staff not very friendly, they just don’t seem to care.

The food was good and the customer service was also. I felt it was not spacious enough for my liking, and it was a little pricey. I would still come back, however .

This food was disgusting!!! NO VEGGETABLES OR ANYTHING, THE FRIED RICE SMELLED LIKE CIGARETTES!!! This is NOT CHINESE FOOD!!! If you want real chinese food you have to go to chinatown in ChicagO. The suburbs of Chicago does not have chinese food at all. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE!!!

Hidden gem for sure! Don’t judge a book by a cover. Excellent food! I got the hunan beef-spicy. Wife got orange chicken. Forgot what the others got but all of it was delicious. Will come back again.

For years and years a standout in the local cantonese american old fashioned chinese restaurants of Chicago—the best (imho) and most distinct style of this kitchen hails from chicago. This is one of the last standing… and still one of the best! Incredible “peanut butter” style egg roll and all the favorites—fried rice, chow mein (cantonese style) egg foo yong and sweet and sour everything. Pressed duck served two ways. great place for eat in or carry out!
