I recently visited Longhorn Bar & Grill in Utrecht, and overall, it was a great experience. The restaurant is right behind Utrecht Centraal, which makes it super convenient if you’re coming from the station. The vibe inside is clean, cozy, and has a nice American Western touch — think dark wood, country music, and lots of meat on the menu.
I ordered the BBQ platter with brisket, pulled pork, and sausage, and it did not disappoint! The brisket was especially good — juicy, smoky, and full of flavor. Portions are generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth. The nachos and sweet potato fries were also really tasty.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was quick, even though it was busy. They also have a good selection of beers and cocktails, which is great if you’re going for a casual night out with friends.

While we found the service great and the atmosphere good, we were very disappointed with the food. The ribs and chicken were dry with little flavour. The menu says the brisket is smoked for 18 hours, which we found hard to believe. None of the fat was rendered, and it tasted terrible. The burger had so much cheese, which was not too our liking.

Liked it! I agree with previous reviews that the food can be better. Smoke it more, Spice it more. The sides should be added portion wise. Still good anyway. The cocktails are awesome. Wouldnt mind hanging around at the bar and listen to the live music.

I’m a born and raised American citizen, and I now have to live the rest of my life knowing that the best brisket I’ve ever had was prepared in the Netherlands. The bark on the brisket was flavorful and the meat was wonderfully tender and juicy. The beef was high-quality and well-marbled—absolutely perfect. I had a few beers here as well and their selection is good. Cocktails are great, too! The server was fantastic and attentive. The entire restaurant smelled lovely like molasses and BBQ. I highly recommend that anyone stop by Longhorn to get a good representation of American barbecue cuisine, and I recommend that any Americans missing a taste of home make the trip.

Loved the food. With our group of thirteen, we ordered a starter tasting as well as a main tasting. It was a Saturday night, so the was even live music. Not to loud though, we could still talk. Everything was perfect, and we had no room for dessert left. Maybe next time!

Great place! When we came there, there where not many people (we went on a Thursday). But the staff was very welcoming and the interior is very cosy, making you feel comfortable. We ordered the nachos with brisket, which is a very good starter for two people. Recommend it!

First off the service is great. The staff is very enthusiastic. The brisket was very juicy and Smokey. Took me right back to Texas. They had really good bites and sides such as loaded nachos and mac & cheese. They had a large variety of drinks as well. The country music was very fun to listen to while dining. It was definitely giving Texas.
