After playing golf yesterday, we went to Palace BBQ Restaurant in Tacoma, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish.
We ordered jungsik and pajun, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic, fresh, and very satisfying. The portions were generous—perfect for four people to share comfortably.
In my opinion, this is one of the best Korean restaurants in the South King County and Tacoma area. On top of the great food, the servers were amazing—friendly, attentive, and very professional.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality Korean cuisine and outstanding service!

Food quality and value are solid, especially for AYCE KBBQ. But experiences overall, one of the servers is incredibly kind, generous with portions, and genuinely makes the meal enjoyable. The other server(who seems to be older)is visibly irritated when customers continue to order meat — eye-rolling, glaring, and talking negatively to the kitchen in a way that’s noticeable from the table. As well as no smiles. It creates an uncomfortable atmosphere and unappetizing environment, especially considering there’s already an 18% automatic gratuity and ordering is part of the AYCE model.
We’re always happy to pace orders and be respectful, but feeling judged for ordering food that’s offered takes away from the experience. Hoping management can address consistency in service, because the food and the one good server are what keep us coming back.

Our server was AWESOME! Wish I got her name, but she had glasses and longish hair pulled back, she was attentive and SO nice! The food was delicious and we came for father’s day ready to eat and were not disappointed. Can’t wait to come back!

We visited Palace BBQ in Lakewood for the first time and had an incredible experience! Not only was the food delicious—the marinated beef was especially flavorful and the dipping sauces were spot-on—but the service is what truly made our night. Our server, Anna, was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and took the time to make sure we understood how everything worked since it was our first visit. Her thoughtful service made us feel so welcome, and it’s the main reason we’re already planning to come back. Highly recommend this place!

The worst customer service ever. Walked away when we are still ordering. Helping cutting other people meat which didn’t even bother asking us or helping. Discrimination against their own kind but so generous and nice to the others. I tipped even though I shouldn’t but I’ll never go back to this Korean BBQ place ever again. The price is very high and the service is better at McDonald’s. You have 90 min to eat all you can. We left hungry with food only being brought to our table once. We did not even get all the food we ordered. We only got hot tea once. There are many other Korean BBQ places near here, and you should avoid this one like the plague. We were not the only people unhappy this evening.

They said they have unlimited banchan, we never got even one refill the whole time we were there. The waitress are rude, unprofessional and they have some attitude when we asked about the rest of our order and we had to asked them twice about it. We were at halfway of our meal before they bring the rest of the order.
We wont come back there for sure. Terrible experience. I dont recommend this place.

Service was excellent, the guy serving me was on top of it, foods/sides and drinks, I didn’t have to wait for anything!!
Food was very delicious, I got the beef, squid, and spicy pork.

We love our local KBBQ location! Every kbbq place does something better then others and for palace we really enjoy the quality of the meats as well as the premium options included in the all you can eat portion (the ribeye is really great)!
