Earlier in the year i celebrated my birthday at Pakwaan with my friends and the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the hosts made us feel incredibly welcome warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our evening special.
The ambience was perfect for a celebration: elegant, lively, and inviting. But the real highlight was the food being absolutely phenomenal in every way. Every dish showcased remarkable freshness, bold flavors and meticulous preparation. We had a spread that included Chicken Boti, Paneer dishes, a couple of mutton varieties, and biryani, and each one was exquisite. The balance of spices, the tenderness of the meats, and the overall richness of the flavors were truly top notch.
It was the kind of meal where every bite makes you appreciate just how good food can be and something I could happily enjoy day after day without hesitation.
Pakwaan made my birthday celebration unforgettable, and I can’t thank them enough for the experience. Highly, highly recommended for anyone looking for incredible Pakistani Indian cuisine, exceptional service, and an ambience that elevates any special moment.

The place serves good food, and the crowd proves it — despite being packed to capacity on a Saturday night, people were happily lining up for more. It can get a bit too noisy at peak hours. It’s a self-service setup but worth it for the flavors you get. The chicken kebab was on the rubbery side, but tasty. The mutton biryani was tender, well-spiced, and comforting. The naan was soft and fresh, and the butter chicken struck the perfect balance of spices and creaminess.

Regular here. Love their tandoori leg and breast! Mutton biryani is very flavorful and so is their tea! Their naans are soft and pretty big! Reasonable prices, quick service! I just hope they paid a little more attention to cleanliness and their restroom! But it won’t stop me from going here!

Putting politics aside this place is the best for Punjabi food hands down in USA. Being Indian, first time I ate here I was amazed for tasting home food away from Punjab a second time after eating dhaba food on i5 near Bakersfield iykyk. love the kadhai mutton and chicken Haleem in pakwaan. Wish they can introduce lamb paya in future.ask for free onion which can be dipped in mint sauce. Also the complimentary tea is the best hands down.

We came to this restaurant for dinner and had a decent experience overall. The food has an Arabian-style touch—from biryani to appetizers and main courses. If you’re looking for tandoori or kebab-style dishes, this may not be the right fit. The ambience is nice, but be prepared for longer wait times on weekends due to limited seating. Also, they do not accept American Express or Discover cards, so plan accordingly. A good spot for a unique twist on familiar flavors!

I have been coming here for years. I love the quality of the food. Meats are Halal and always tender. Seating can be limited and hard to get. If you can’t find a table, you are not able to order your food for dine in. I would reception take away on peak hours, but if you wait it may take time to find seating. Chai is no longer free and they charge $2.00 per cup.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Goat Curry is simply amazing – for the goat lovers out there. Chicken seeks kebabs are simply mouth watering as well, you get the flavors of different spices in each bite of kabab.
Goat/lamb is well cooked and has the perfect blend of spices and flavors in one dish.
The restaurant is self-serve, so depending on the person – that may or may not be a problem.

I visited this restaurant and ordered the mutton karahi with naan — and I must say, the food was genuinely delicious. The flavors were rich, the meat was tender, and the naan was fresh and perfectly done. It’s a self-service setup, which was fine by me.
However, my overall experience was let down by the ambiance. The place was extremely noisy, and a particular group was being obnoxiously loud throughout my meal. What made it worse was the complete lack of intervention from the management. It was clear that many others around me were just as irritated and uncomfortable, but no one from the staff made an effort to maintain a pleasant dining environment.
It’s disappointing because while the food definitely hit the mark, the atmosphere made it hard to actually enjoy my meal. A little bit of crowd control or noise management would go a long way here.

I recently visited Pakwan, a casual Indian spot, and had a great experience. The food was flavorful and fresh. The atmosphere was relaxed, perfect for a quick meal or catching up with friends. The service was friendly and fast, and the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. If you’re looking for a tasty, no-frills Indian meal, this place is definitely worth a try! Bon Appetite!
