A hidden gem in Makawao town. The very first time we came here was the night of July 29th when Hawaii received a tsunami warning. We tried her kalua pork and chicken spring rolls and it was Ono. 2nd trip tonight 9-29 we tried the pork belly plate, drunken noodles with chicken, my favorite the chicken and kalua pork spring rolls.

I went there and it was raining slightly. I thought that it made sense that the windows were shut on the food truck, because of the weather. I decided to call the phone number anyways later on at home, and got a hold of the truck and they asked what I wanted to order. I didn’t really understand, as the truck was closed when I last checked. But, it turns out that they were doing take out orders while having the trust appearing to be closed…

The food itself: the rice was good. It was a stickier rice than what I am used to, which was nice to roll into the Lemongrass Ahi I got. Lots of sauce and plenty of eye popping flavor. It had a good authentic Thai taste. It was mild, but I have to say spicy enough to get my nose to blow nicely. Nothing too bad, but I wouldn’t suggest for someone with a sensitive stomach, like my mom. Customer service was good and communication was good with the truck. Room for growth: There could have been a sign for me to call them and do an over-the-phone order because from my perspective, the food truck was completely closed up, even though it was open. I only called later to see if it would open, when I was instead allowed to make an order. So, a simple large sign that says: “Call-in orders only today! Call ###-####.” If I had not called in to see when they would open, I would have assumed they were closed and missing out on all that flavor they were offering! No fun!

By the way, I selected the Lemongrass Ahi because in the picture on the menu it didn’t have rice in it. But, turns out it had two big lumps of rice with it. Go figure that Asian cuisine has rice in it! You are sure to encounter rice at this food truck, regardless. Like I said they use a stickier rice that is large grained and is very savory.

I’m originally from Thailand. I order holy thai basil chicken for my son. It’s spot on! It feels like home. The owner is lovely and friendly. If we visit Maui again, we definitely will stop by again.

Wow. We were dealt with drama and a poor experience. After ordering on the phone, the lady said “hurry up I’m leaving” “you have 5 minutes”.

We made a mistake on not specifying that we would require coconut milk in our Thai iced teas. Usually Thai places just make them on the spot but they had them prepared with regular milk, which we couldn’t take. **then she proceed to throw a tantrum in front of people making my girlfriend and I very embarrassed.

I had to check to make sure my food wasn’t spit in it. It was all smashed and I also checked to make sure my food was all there and they forgot spring rolls and expecting me to pay without them checking.

What a disgrace. The Green curry is a ONE STAR. Just water and tofu and hospital like vegetables. Pinneapple fried rice was good though.

Although she might’ve been going through something. We are taking a break from Thai Food.

Had the shrimp Panang curry and fish green curry. Both were delicious! So flavorful and tons of different vegetables. Would definitely go again.

Just delicious! We ordered pad see ew and beef & vege stir fry (can’t remember the name) – both tasted great and, I’m confident to say, even better than most Thai restaurants. I’m a big fan of spicy food so I asked the lady to add chili pepper. When I saw she added chili flakes (almost like powder but not that fine) in the food instead of hot sauce, fresh chilis or jalapeños, I knew I just found a right place for authentic Thai food. The lady working there was super friendly and showed smile all the time when we were there. I’m already missing the place!

Was in Maui for two weeks and this was by far the best meal my friends and I had. We came here three nights in a row. I live in NYC and this bears the majority of not all of the Thai casual spots we have in the city. If you’re in Maui you must come here for a bite.

I had the Thai basil and the drunken noodle.
I’ve never had Thai basil quite like this – the sauce had an umami that was reminiscent of beef jus.

Yum

More authentic feeling Thai food. Not overwhelmingly sweet/drenched in sauce like how American Thai food is made. Surprisingly lighter on the stomach, yet filling-which was refreshing. Staff was very kind and provided excellent service.

There are also socially distant picnic tables that are covered to sit and eat on outside. It makes for a good evening.
