Social Profile:

Unlike many Indian restaurants in town focused on one region, Paisley explores the subcontinent’s diverse culinary offerings. For the menu, Chef pulls from his experience working in restaurants in New Delhi, Mumbai, as well as his knowledge of preparations from the eastern and southern parts of India. The cocktails are equally varied in their inspiration. There is also an extensive wine and beer list in addition to a wonderful dessert menu. Brunch is also offered on Saturdays and Sundays with a completely new menu! Sunday Brunch highlights a 2 hour fun filled magic show starting at 11:30am.

Pan-Indian plates, craft cocktails & wine are served at this sprawling haunt with a wraparound bar.

It is the best Indian restaurants in the New York and I have been to India or London to taste all kinds of Indian fine dining. The flavor is bold yet clean, not over sugary or saucy. The first time I was there, I was impressed with the Garlicky cauliflower and since then I have been keeping coming back.

I was visiting New York for my 40th birthday and my brother and I stopped by Paisley without a reservation. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and we were immediately offered a table but we opted to sit at the bar. The bar staff were amazing. David and his colleague whose name escapes me at the moment were amazing company that provided great conversation and excellent food and drink recommendations (try the Drop the Beet and the Tamarind Pisco Sour). We were fortunate that the owner was also in that evening and we struck up a conversation at the bar. He was an absolute gem of a person and we were excited to find out we shared a common cultural background. He recommended the Lamb Gilafi and Chicken Tikka which were both amazing dishes, but his recommendation of the Burrata Chaat was the star of the show. For our mains, we had the Lamb Shank and a White Butter Chicken which honestly were some of the best Indian dishes I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. What made the dining experience even more special was Chef Tejas came out to describe the process and thought put into each dish. He gave us a breakdown of the ingredients used along with the techniques to produce such wonderful food. We were blown away by the experience and could feel the passion he had for the cooking in general. Overall, our visit to Paisley made my trip to NYC memorable and the dining experience is something I will never forget due to the mouthwatering food and amazing staff. Highly recommended!

This place was an absolute stellar experience. Upon entering, I had a very nice mezcal drink with Kashmiri pepper, and spoke with the owner about different food and spices, she was very nice and welcoming. We ordered Himalayan Momo, paratha, naan, chicken biryani and lamb vindaloo as well as lentil dumplings. Everything had such unique flavor and spice! Absolutely blown away by the food, service was great and atmosphere was a delight.

We stopped here completely by chance and were thoroughly happy with our serendipity. The food and service we received were very elevated. The lamb shank special was cooked to perfection. Flavors were bold but complementary to each other throughout the meal. I believe they are peanut free as well for sensitive diners seeking Indian food. Highly recommend.

I didn’t think a good Indian restaurant was possible in New York after having bad experience after bad experience, but Paisley is really excellent. It is on the pricier side, but the quality is so good that it’s worth it. I got the lamb chop (delish – great price) and the Chicken Khurchan (is way way better than it sounds on the menu’s description). Both had a nice amount of spice and mopping up that delicious sauce with a perfect tandoori roti was a dream. Service was excellent too. A great meal.

Came here for an early dinner with a buddy. I must say, it was a really wonderful experience! The atmosphere was really pretty (I especially liked the bar), and our servers were attentive and friendly. The food also came out really fast!

As for the food, wow! I got the Lamb Vindaloo and loved how flavorful it was! Sour, slightly spicy, and bursting with the flavor of spices, the curry was amazing! The chunks of lamb were also cooked really nicely, tender and succulent without being chalky or tough at all! I also really liked the fresh ginger in it, it complemented the other flavors really well. My only complaint would be that it wasn’t as spicy as I was expecting, given that it was labeled as “spicy” on the menu. My buddy got the Chana Masala and was also really satisfied with his dish. I took a bite of his and can confirm that it was great too. I thought that the flavor of the cilantro in the Chana Masala was really tasty. We also got Garlic Naan to split. Crispy, slightly chewy, buttery, and garlicky, exactly as I love naan to be! I will say though, the meal was a bit pricey, but they definitely delivered on quality and flavor so I’m not complaining.

All in all, my buddy and I had a wonderful experience at Paisley, and I would totally recommend checking it out if you like Indian food!

Classic Indian dishes with a refined approach and style. I enjoyed the well reviewed eggplant chaat and the pahadi chicken – both served pleasantly as appetizers. Beef Nihari was rich and paired well with both the rice and the Malabar paratha. Cocktails were decent.
