I ordered takeout from Paik’s Noodle since it was conveniently located near my accommodation. I tried their most popular dish, Jajangmyeon, along with sweet and sour pork (the second most popular item) and spicy chicken.
The spicy chicken was actually quite good and flavorful. However, the dish I was most excited about, the Jajangmyeon, was disappointing — the flavor was very mild and lacked depth.
Unfortunately, the sweet and sour pork was not good at all. While it was battered and fried, most pieces were almost entirely batter with very little actual pork inside, which was quite disappointing.
On a positive note, the staff were very friendly, and I really liked the clean and pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant. However, because the food did not meet my expectations overall, I’m giving this place 3 stars.

I’ve only ordered the regular jajjangmyeon, but the Stir-Fry had a BOGO on DoorDash so I couldn’t resist. In tradition, this dish is associated with singles eating out with one another on Valentine’s Day to meet single’s of the opposite gender. A ‘free’ matchmaking before online dating was invented. Secondly, this dish is traditionally eaten when moving out of an old home. Typically spreading the morning newspaper on the ground, and eating this dish as a last meal before transitioning into a new home.

I’m glad I gave the stir-fry (non-traditional) a try because this is what I will be ordering from here on out. The portion is enough for two, and they are generous with every ingredient (noodles, sauce, squid, shrimp, beef, and vegetables). As you can see, it is sauced up, not leaving the noodles dry. The flavor holds up just as good, if not better in a stir fry style.

The Sweet and Sour Pork was fried to perfection. Typically, you’ll see some translucent/white in the fried batter, but this was golden crispy to perfection. This made the texture less chewy for the batter and the pork, while adding more crunch. Dipping this pork in the sauce will help dampen the texture.

Paik’s Noodle has perfected these dishes, and the consistency since inception is key to their success. I haven’t tried their newer items, but I’m sure they don’t disappoint.

We have to make a stop here whenever we’re in Tigard. The portions are huge, my boyfriend and I usually share the Stir-Fried Jajangmyeon and the chili shrimp. Both dishes have a nice kick, and lots of flavor. Always satisfying and worth the stop.

The fried chicken was REALLY good. I might go back just for that. The sweet and sour pork was just okay, too much breading. The jajangmyeon was bland and disappointing.

This place is delicious.
I was hooked after my first visit.
I love the Meat Jajangmyeon which is pictured here along with the Fried Dumplings. Definitely recommend going here if you have not already. No wait for seating. Less than 10 minutes wait for our food. Place is clean and well managed. Plenty of parking. Outdoor seating available.

Cute spot – everything was a little over saturated in flavor. Too salty, too sweet, too gooey, but not necessarily in a bad way. Service was quick & friendly. If you’ve never had Korean-Chinese, I think this is a decent introduction to the fusion of cuisines. The space is tidy, clean, and well managed.

We got takeout here yesterday… Service was really good. The girl at the counter was super sweet and made accommodations for us then even checked our order to make sure everything was correct. It was a struggle to find Jajangmyun on a Monday everywhere that I could think of was closed. We will be back! Their combo deals look like a great deal! Looking forward to next time

Love it here! I didn’t really expect much since Paik’s is a chain, but the quality and care put into this location is amazing. The tangsuyuk is my favorite item! I like that the sauce is on the side rather than poured on top of the pork as it keeps the the pork’s crispiness. The jajangmyeon is very hearty, savory and filling. The jjamppong reminds me somewhat of tom yum. The broth is light and they are decently generous with the add ins. I would recommend bringing a friend as the items are all pretty filling. But if you’re big and greedy like me, bring a friend just so you can share multiple items to taste everything ^_^

Edit 3/8/25: Came back today and tried the chicken instead and the batter is amazing!!! It’s very similar to a tempura batter, crispy and light. Also tried the chili jajangmyeon (after trying it once before another time) and they’ve stepped it up by adding a chili oil to it instead of just the peppers on top. Definitely prefer the spicy one now because of that.
