Our server was a lovely guy, was attentive when necessary but more importantly didn’t intrude during our time at the restaurant.
Im moaning about the pizza but that’s just a preference thing, it was still a good pizza.
Went back on 16 Aug. Food fantastic again!
Spicy chicken pasta dish is outstanding!
Sat outside with our little pooch & had a great dinner, complete with dessert (white chocolate profiteroles & tiramisu – both also homemade)! The risotto was also nicely made, with the right consistency.
Service was lovely (I think our servers name was Kristen? She moved up from London & was super friendly & gave great recommendations) to top it!
I don’t think I’ve ever left a restaurant without saying goodbye to the staff.
It was odd. Anyway great food, not so great staff, just remembered him also saying, you don’t want to sit up there there’s gonna be sixteen seventeen year olds coming in, I thought ok yeah might be a bit noisy but then he said yeah they are going to be doing my head in all night! That they might but I’d imagine that’s a good order for someone eh!
Portions are big though, be warned! We had an antipasti starter split between two, and it’s massive! Staff were happy to box up our leftover pizza though for our lunch the next day.
Would absolutely recommend.
We ordered pizza and beer (because we’re real men) and after snaffling the lot we were glad we didn’t order starters or sides owning to the fact the pizza was so generous (maybe not real men after all). I should mention it was cooked to perfection and we made small grunts of pleasure and approving nods to one another around the table as we ate. The menu is vast so something for every pallet and with pizzas being numbered it saved me the embarrassment of attempting to pronounce the Italian words.
*For clarity, “funny” haha not funny odd.
Opened the box to find a pizza saturated in toppings expecting to find flavour, however this was not the case.
Completely flavourless, I mean where’s the colour?! For over £15, you’d expect a decent slice, none to be found here.
Shame.
