We tried a restaurant for the first time tonight, Paddy’s American Grille on the recommendation from a friend. Beautiful building with inside and patio dining, another gem in Portsmouth,NH. We were warmly greeted and taken very good care of by Vanessa who was outstanding. The food, drinks, and dessert were all excellent! We’ll be back soon for sure, give them a try.

First time going there and we will never go again.
We ordered chicken wings plain with a side of ranch for appetizers. Good thing for the ranch dressing as the wings were so dry. The server brought the wings out but no small plates to use.
I ordered a burger and fries.
When I picked up the burger the whole bottom of the bread was soaked from the greasy burger, the fries were the only good thing to eat.
My husband ordered a BLT and there were crumbles of bacon. Not one complete piece, again the fries were decent.
It was over $60 and not worth $6.
So disappointed.
The service was ok, only came once to see how we were. She said she would let the kitchen know about our food but only brought us a bill. Nothing just a bill for lousy food!
The Andres candies were the best part of being there, so we grabbed a few each!
We will never go there again!

I contacted the restaurant on short notice for a post celebration of life dinner. Marty, the executive chef was extremely attentive and had a formal contract to me within hours of meeting. The staff met all of our expectations and the crowd of almost 70 people all said the same. Great food and overall a great place to get a bunch of great friends together. Thank you all so much.

We came here for a social gathering with a very large group. The servers were absolutely amazing and on point the best they could with such a large group. The food was great and my orders were good. Others had some issues and they took care of the issues by getting them new food or taking it off their checks. The nachos were very large and delicious.

We went here for the Easter brunch. These folks do a really nice job serving the community. It’s nice to have restaurants like this that can do so much as not all families have places to gather. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional.

The two handed pub dip sandwich I had for lunch was incredible! The roast beef was perfectly tender and juicy, and piled generously on a fresh baguette that had a nice balance of soft interior and crunchy exterior. The au jus was rich, flavorful, and seasoned just right—it soaked into the bread without making it too soggy, just enough to let every bite burst with savory goodness. Paired with melted cheese, arugula, and a creamy horseradish sauce it was comfort food at its finest! Absolutely delicious—I’ll be back for more.

Actually, I really wanted this to be a 3.5 review. The setting and decor is pleasant and spacious, and the food menu options were enticing.
The beer selection was disappointing – for craft brews we were offered Sam Adams seasonal flavor!
I have a soy allergy, but didn’t feel assured that our waitress was taking it seriously enough – she seemed less than interested in ensuring my accommodations were considered. Just a feeling …
