We recently hosted my daughter’s 30th birthday party at Patti Whacks in South Philly, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. We chose the appetizer package with an open bar, and everything exceeded our expectations.
From the event manager to the bartenders, servers, and chef, every single staff member was professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our event special. The communication leading up to the event was clear and organized, which made planning seamless and stress-free. On the day of the party, the staff went above and beyond — assisting with decorating, ensuring our guests were well taken care of throughout the event, and handling cleanup at the end with care and efficiency.
The level of service, hospitality, and teamwork was truly outstanding. It’s rare to find a venue where every detail is handled so thoughtfully and every staff member delivers at such a high level. I would highly recommend Patti Whacks for any private event and would not hesitate to host another celebration there

I haven’t been there in forever, but decided to go for a walk on sat 2.21.26 while the weather was nice. Needed a place for lunch. Perfect spot to catch some Olympic weather games. Paddy melt sandwich very filling. Did the trick for a couple beers,a Saturday walk and a great lunch sandwich!

I recently hosted my fiancé’s surprise 30th birthday at Paddy Whacks, and it was absolutely perfect! From start to finish, the experience was seamless, thanks to their incredible event manager, Lorilee. She was beyond amazing—so friendly, helpful, and accommodating, making sure every detail was taken care of effortlessly. The venue itself had a great atmosphere, the staff was attentive, and the open bar was a huge hit with our guests. Also, received so much positive feedback on the chicken tenders (seriously, best tenders in the city!) If you’re looking for a fantastic place to host an event, I HIGHLY recommend Paddy Whacks. Thank you, Lorilee and the team, for making this celebration so special!

The worst hostess/bouncer ever. The hostess being older than the costumers should be mature enough to handle any situation right but the one working today was getting physical with people. I witnessed him dragging a girl with her arm and kicking her and her phone on the ground outside the restaurant even though she wasn’t trying to get in the bar. They were just trying to dine in just like everyone else. That was an assault, a physical assault and someone did make a 911 call reporting the restaurant. I hope you all have the new years you deserve. I genuinely have never met more horrible staff than this and i truly hope you all face consequences. Thank you.

Was looking for a local down to earth pub, with good plain food, NO ridiculous, fancy sauces, garnishes or fancy plating and I got exactly what I wanted. Could not have been any happier.
I had a chicken cheese steak and fries and my friend had a Philly cheesesteak and fries and they were delicious. Food came out hot with little wait time. As this is my last Philly meal before I left town, it was a wonderful end to my trip. Noise level was a little high, but the Eagles were playing, so that’s to be expected. And I’m hard of hearing so the volume didn’t bother me. Highly recommend for the food and the atmosphere.

Bartender Shannon was so rude and didn’t feel like helping us. Meanwhile there was 3 other people sitting at the empty bar. Won’t be back.
Didn’t rate the food because we were asked to close our tab after ordering first round of drinks. Very awkward.

The chicken melt was fabulous, upgraded to the fries which were good, too. Nice with the crab seasoning. The SO got fish and chips and enjoyed it as well. They had a nice list of cocktails. I just went with a canned vodka soda because I’m still on a hard seltzer/soda kick. It was very chill of a vibe in the afternoon, would recommend.

Great place and amazing food. The burgers we had were amazing! Big, thick, cooked properly, and plenty of flavor. And it was half price burger night!
Cold beer and plenty of selection.
It was pretty slow and we were the only ones there for a bit. It picked up later on. It’s a Tuesday evening so not too surprising.
We would definitely come back here again.

Ended up here a couple of times while in Philadelphia for the 250th Marine Corps Birthday Celebration! The bartenders were on top of their game and did a fantastic job keeping a crowd of Marines and football fans content on November 10th! Thankful for Lou’s hospitality and kindness for sure! Semper Fi!
