Have been in for food a few times and always an excellent food and service.
We were gifted a voucher for a cooking class with Liam. All round a fantastic experience. Got to learn a lot about the ingredients that go into the dishes and got to make our own green curry and pad thai, and got to take home the food we’d made. Both were incredible. Couldn’t speak highly enough of the cooking classes, Liam and Holly were great!

This place was recommended by a neighbour and I can’t believe it’s taken us so long to go! It was amazing. The food was packed with flavour. Prawn tempura and pork gyoza to start, both very good. Pad thai and drunken noodles with a side of duck fat chips for the main, again all good. Small venue with 4 tables but we enjoyed that! you can see the chef cooking which added to the atmosphere. Very reasonable priced as well. The menu said food can be made Gluten free as well.
We’ll definitely be back there 🙂

Had a great experience – by far the best Thai food I’ve had on these shores. The flavours were outstanding, and the personal touch from the chef really made the night

Unbelievable experience coming to eat at this restaurant. The food was so fresh, tasty and and flavourful. We had the corn fritters to start followed by the drunken noodles and the weaping tiger steak and everything was absolutely phenomenal. Best Thai food I’ve had in the UK. Highly recommend and the pair of workers that hosted us at the restaurant took great care of us and added to the all round experience. We will definitely be back and feel blessed to have a restaurant like this on our doorstep

Visited today for my first time and to say I was blown away is a massive understatement. This place is on a completely different level compared to most places I’ve eaten at recently. From the moment we sat down I could tell it was going to be special. Everything on the menu sounded incredible and I was so indecisive because I genuinely wanted it all.
The waitress came over, sat next to us, and talked us through the menu properly, which honestly made such a difference. It felt so personal and relaxed, like she actually cared about us having the best experience rather than just taking an order and moving on. That alone already set this place apart from the usual impersonal dining experiences you get these days.
We ended up going for the gyoza and a pork and rice dish, I can’t remember the exact name, but wow. The food was honestly about as good as food gets. Every bite was packed with flavour and the depth and complexity of the dishes completely blew me away. You can really tell how much thought and care goes into the food here.
We also added a side of chips and somehow even those were outstanding. Perfectly crunchy on the outside, fluffy in the middle, and easily some of the best chips I’ve had in a long time. It sounds dramatic but even the sides here deserve hype.
The atmosphere was super chilled and welcoming, the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable in and don’t want to rush out of. All in all I cannot recommend this place enough. If you’re thinking about going, just go. You will not be disappointed.
If I’m being really picky, the only constructive thing I could mention is the wait time for food, as we were there around an hour and 15 minutes before our mains came out. But honestly, that didn’t bother us at all because the vibe was so relaxed and the food was more than worth the wait. I’m only mentioning it because I’m struggling to find anything negative to say.

I have been desperate to visit Pad T’Aye for so long! All I can say is wow! It is easily the best Thai food that I have had outside of Thailand itself. The flavours are so vibrant, fragrant and authentic. Liam’s passion and enthusiasm are evident in every dish. I cannot wait to come back with my family. We will definitely be regulars from now on. I CANNOT RECOMMEND HIGHLY ENOUGH!!!!!!

I didn’t realise before i went to this restaurant that i had been looking at an old menu that still had vegan main options listed on it. the mains were no longer vegan due to thai food being difficult to make vegan. the chef personally came out and spoke to me and came up with tofu fried rice on the spot for me to have which i was extremely grateful for as this was not a listed option and he chose to accommodate my diet anyway which is extremely kind. The fried rice & vegetable gyozas were amazing. my mum had the prawn pad thai and my boyfriend had the Khao soi, which they both said were identical to dishes they’d had in the streets of thailand. 10/10

After a week of highland trip having mostly Scottish food, we decided to give it a try at this place in our last night in Scotland. The place was full but they were able to accommodate us 45 min later without reservation. We were pleasantly surprised at how tasty and authentic the food was! It definitely met my Asian standard! The staffs are very friendly and welcoming! It’s such a hidden gem!

Having a gluten and lactose intolerance Thai food is my go to meal out, Pad T’aye is the best yet. The flavours were fragrant, fresh tasting. Complimentary mussels in a spicy coconut broth is amazing. Fresh fish cakes for starters with a spicy lime dipping sauce. Prawn massaman curry nicely flavoured with a perfect balance of star anise and cinnamon spice. Prawns were perfect and a generous portion. All dishes were nicely presented Worth the drive from Hertfordshire!
