Casual railway-inspired eatery offering breakfast & hearty American lunch plates amid model trains.

Pacific Street Cafe is a classic Old Town Roseville spot that feels like stepping back in time. Located near Vernon Street in downtown Roseville, the atmosphere alone makes it worth the visit. I love the vintage details, especially the model train that runs around the inside of the restaurant. I stopped in for lunch and the food was comforting, filling, and well done. This is a great place for anyone who appreciates classic local diners and a relaxed, nostalgic vibe.

This little place has a cute atmosphere and kind people. Unfortunately that’s where my appreciation ends.
We ordered the tri-tip steak and eggs and the biscuits and gravy.
First of all, I didn’t receive tri-tip. I received what appeared to be overcooked flank steak (?) with absolutely no seasoning on it. The meat itself was grey and just tasted off. The eggs and hash browns were not seasoned at all and my toast was room temperature.
Thankfully, when I spoke with the server, she confirmed that the steak wasn’t seasoned, and mentioned many customers request steak seasoning to add to it after the fact. She graciously changed my bill to reflect a two egg breakfast, and that was that.
The biscuits and gravy were also cold and unseasoned. It kind of seemed like maybe it was done 5-10 minutes before it came out to us. The biscuits weren’t anything special, but tasted okay.
I would personally not return for breakfast. Like I said, the people are really nice, the food just isn’t there.

Pretty busy on St. Patrick’s Day. The service was quick and good. Martina was very friendly. I had the chicken fried steak and it was made fresh. The steak was a bit too chewy but it was flavorful. My wife had the biscuits and gravy with two sausages and scrambled eggs. The sausages were excellent and the biscuits were moist.

I took my 4-year-old daughter to breakfast at Pacific Street Cafe, and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were lucky to get a table right next to their train play area, which is perfect for little ones—I could hardly pull my daughter away because she was having such a great time! If you’re looking for a family-friendly breakfast spot with great food and a fun atmosphere for kids, I highly recommend Pacific Street Cafe.

Local breakfast spot that does not disappoint. No frills, cozy restaurant with a lot of charm. Model train goes through the restaurant and there is a train whistle you can pull at the entrance.
Seated and served quickly. Food was fresh and tasty. Good sized portions. Prices are a bit high, but it seems like that everywhere these days.

First-time experience. The restaurant was very cute with a running train my son loved. The menu had a large variety of breakfasts that seemed like something for everyone. The coffee was hot and delicious. The orange juice was good. They had some gluten-free options, which was nice. The service was fast and friendly. Will return again and try something new.

This was a strange place, the decor was old and looked like you were in your grandma’s house in the early 90’s. The waitress had quite the fan base of older men coming in to flirt with her as she would hug them and sit with each of them at their tables. The food was just okay, chicken fried steak had a funny taste, gravy didn’t have much flavor, the corned beef hash had a lot of oil. I think the oil they were frying in needed to be changed. The biscuit was very dense, not my kind of biscuit.

First time at this restaurant and they have a cool little train engine going around the top of the restaurant. Food was so good that my husband’s plate emptied out before I remembered to take a photo. Service was great! I removed one star for their allergy signs though. Don’t come here if you have food allergies since they won’t cater to you. I understand it can be extra work and make it tougher on staff but it’s too bad folks with allergies won’t be safe here. Maybe they’ll consider upgrading their brand in the future. Also, they only offer drip coffee but I got hot chocolate instead. (Walnut pancakes are offered here.) Free parking lot available within 3 minute walk.
