Went here tonight and thought that the food and ambience were both very good. My one issue lies in the beverage I received. I ordered a cucumber watermelon martini off the seasonal cocktails menu and instead received the cucumber martini from the regular cocktail menu. After telling our server about this problem, she took the drink and told us she would fix it. The original drink I received was also not perfect with big pieces of cucumber and seeds floating in it along with a brown, slightly mushy lime wedge garnish. The new drink she brought back had a pink hue, so I was happy to see that the watermelon purée had been added. Unfortunately, the drink had not been completely remade as there were the same cucumber pieces and the same lime. There were also a couple ice cubes floating in the new drink. My main problem with this is that the cucumber martini is made with kettle one vodka while the cucumber watermelon martini is made with Hendricks gin. I could taste the distinct different between the spirits which, combined with how poorly it was strained, made this less than ideal. I am not faulting the server as she did her job very well; however, I wish the bartender would put more care into their work. I’ve attached images of both cocktails for reference.

Loved it here. Excellent food at reasonable prices. The beer and alcohol is also fairly priced. Friendly staff who are on point. The menu has some really nice options.

Would love to give this place a good review because the food is decent. but there is a bartender there who is just rude. To customers and staff. I over heard her calling staff derogatory names. I don’t understand how they can employ someone so rude. Yall women with dark hair probably in her 40s/50s.

Had a great dinner at La Familia where there was both indoor and outdoor seating available. Happy to see the nearby Bog Iron Brewing on draft. Ordered the chicken Sorrentino, and I was able to substitute the pasta with veggies (green beans, carrots, onions) which was great and essentially turned it into a ratatouille. My partner ordered the chipotle maple glazed salmon with double veggies, both meals were cooked very well and had amazing flavor! The complimentary bread was delicious. I do wish there were more healthier options, but I was please to be able to alter my meal to add more vegetables–I chose one of the chickens dishes which was not breaded and/or pan fried and it was mentioned to be topped with eggplant; however, the eggplant was fried which I was not expecting.
All of the staff we spoke were were incredibly friendly. The restaurant itself was very clean as well as the bathrooms and had a chill atmosphere. Due to supply shortage, there were some up charges on certain food items listed both at the door and at the tables. The seasonal specials all sounded delicious. Can’t wait to return to try other offerings. Small parking lot in the front and it was mentioned to me there may be additional parking in rear.

I ordered from the catering menu for a family birthday party at my home. I chose the roasted chicken and mashed potatoes. I made roasted carrots and garlic bread to accompany the meal. The menu indicated these 2 items would serve 12 – 14. The food was well packed in trays with a sealed top and then within a heavy carton. It was hot when picked up and only needed to be briefly warmed for 1/2 hour.The chicken was moist and excellently seasoned. The potatoes were creamy and tasteful. We had 14 adults and 1 child and there was quite a bit of chicken left over and a good amount of potatoes. Guests were highly complimentary of the food. I would recommend La Familia for any catering need! They exceeded my expectations!

It was Thanksgiving and since my wife and I had no invitation to celebrate this traditional day, we went out to eat on our own. The restaurant name La Familia sounded so very Italian that we decided to make a reservation and go there. Our plan was to order a tempting meal of Chicken Parmesan and not the usual Turkey dinner. We were promptly seated and soon our dining experience began with some stale hard bread, a dish of salad for my wife and for me a cup of chicken noodle soup. The soup contained so much pepper, that it was difficult for me to control my cough. Next our waitress presented the main dish which at first glance looked quite appetizing.
Unfortunately, our taste buds soon discovered that the expectation we had for authentic Italian food ended in disappointment. The marinara sauce sorely lacked the most basic and essential Italian increadients of garlic, basil and oregano. In addition, the chicken fillet was crusty and difficult to cut without the use of a steak knife. My wife and I will likely not return to this establishment.

We booked this restaurant to celebrate my sons 25th birthday. When I made the reservation under the special request I wrote that it was a birthday celebration. When we arrived I told the waiter that it was his birthday and asked for them to bring him his favorite dessert so we could celebrate. They never brought it out and that was a big disappointment.
Drinks: took a very long time to get to our table. But over all tasted good. While waiting for our drinks the waiter didn’t come to our table at all to ask if we wanted anything like an appetizer. They gave us water to start and forgot to pour water for 2 out of the 6 people on the table.
Appetizers: We each got a different appetizer and mine was the quahog it tasted like pure stuffing(bread) the worst I’ve ever had.
Entrée: Everyone was okay with their entrees besides the mashed potatoes (no flavor just sweet)
Over all experience. We will probably never return.

Today I had the pot roast because the last time we went my mom had it and I was jealous! Just as good as hers, but I do wish there were carrots today! So yummy! Our server, Charlene was wonderful and recommended a dessert she made for is herself! The coffee was REALLY good! The hostess is always fantastic, too. I work in a restaurant. And I know how hard this work is. Thank you La Familia for making dining look easy and taste great!
