I don’t write many negative reviews, but I have to say that I was very disappointed in this place after reading all the great reviews. I was craving calamari but unfortunately, it was so chewy I could barely eat it. And also, as you can see from the picture just looks like frozen onion rings . The dumplings taste like they were out of the bag, something that you could buy at any grocery store and make it home . I’m not sure if that’s true. That’s just how they tasted to me. The sushi was mediocre at best. I did find the lychee martini to be quite delicious. The waitress was awesome so no problems with the service. Perhaps they don’t get enough people to get in fresh ingredients. I’m not really sure. But spending $100 of my hard earned money for a mediocre meal was not something I was expecting to do. So unfortunately, I will not be returning to this establishment anytime soon or ever.

This place is a d
Hidden gem. You would never know that one of the best Chinese places in asheville was hidden on hendo road. Food was hot and fresh. Everything we had was fantastic. The chow fun was impeccable. Reminds me of the old country. Spectacular

Stopped here during our brief visit to Asheville, seeking a great Sushi restaurant. Pleasantly surprised as soon as we entered, as this restaurant had a great ambience with tables, little well decorated booths, and a bar area. Was a nice quiet atmosphere, 5 stars. Excellent 5 star service, as we were quickly waited on and not pressured to order quickly. Our server attended to our needs throughout the dinner. It’s been awhile since we had “chinese“ and wanted some, despite the fact that they offered excellent Japanese entrees, sushi rolls/meals, and a variety of sakeI For drinks, I opted for the Godzilla drink- vodka, gin, etc. as I was in that kind of a mood. I liked it, but quickly disposed of the straw/decoration. My wife had her usual Chateau St Michelle reisling, and she received a generous pour. I ordered the General Tsao with wonton soup, eggroll, and fried rice, my wife had Chicken and mixed vegetables. Both entrees tasted great, 5 stars. I appreciated my plate had the rice in a seperate bowl, and that my broccoli was not overcooked, fresh, and was kept off to the side. Portion sizes were large. We had great overall dining experience. This entire meal, 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and 2 soups was $51, not overpriced, priced just right.

My wife and I have gone to Pagoda four times in person and tonight for takeout. Love the atmosphere and friendly, prompt service. The food has always been delicious and we have sampled many dishes including the sushi. Highly recommend for a cozy night out and reasonably priced.

We went to Pacific Pagoda restaurant several times in the past. In the latest visit, we found a fly in our stir-fired dish. That was it. No appetite any more.
The service was sometimes good sometimes bad. We encountered a mid-age waitress who changed face like a poker. Quite hypocritical.
Also, I had to file an serious complain to the owner of this restaurant: Why an Asian restaurant treated Asian guests in such a weird attitude, while your servants seemed treating white guests better and as a priority. Shame on you for double-standards and racism!
If you don’t even have respect for your guests, no matter what color they are, you will go out of business soon!
The servants are seriously lack of curtesy training, in both the dine-in restaurant and to-go section.

A really good spot for your Asian food craving. The beef broccoli and brown sauce was amazing super tender beef. Decent sushi. Our server was incredible.

This place is usually great but tonight was awful. I asked for an order of honey garlic chicken and our waitress said we don’t have that and I said oh it’s the honey chicken. She wrote down honey chicken then my husband said he would like the honey chicken as well. She repeated it and wrote it down. She brings out two completely different dishes. We said that’s not ours and she starts yelling at us telling us what we ordered. I finally had to ask her to stop yelling. I mean the whole restaurant heard her she was yelling so loud and yelled , “ I will fix it!” By then I was so upset that I couldn’t eat and so we cancelled and paid for the two sodas and soup. I have to say I was upset, irritated, and embarrassed that she carried on like this. I have never experienced this before.

Terribly rude employees, both of the waitresses in on December 30th, 2024… We waited 40 minutes to be seated, even though they had a table available for us from the moment we walked in, as the table we were FINALLY seated at was empty right in front of us the whole time. The waitress, when we asked for refills and a few in our party were unsure on if they needed such or not, waved us to HURRY and decide! That is so inappropriate. So disappointed, I used to come here every few days for takeout, but I will never be returning after this experience. The food is phenomenal. Too bad.

Went for Christmas dinner. Service was excellent! I ordered the teriyaki salmon, the spring time sushi roll, and crab rangoons. All came out hot, well seasoned and perfectly prepared. Highly recommend!
