I’m from NJ and one thing I loved while living there is Egg fu young ! This was my first time ordering from Oriental Express and let me tell you it DID NOT disappoint. I can only speak about my experience. The platter was very heavy. I ate off of it 3 times. I had shrimp egg fu young with shrimp fried rice and I added 5 large shrimp. My man had ham fried rice. The gravy is soooo good . Definitely ordering again!

The place is basically a “to-go” order window and no seating inside. The food is decent and has a nice wok flavor to it. But they do not give Chopsticks with the food. I asked for chopsticks and the woman told me that they would cost $1. I was surprised, because they put free cheap-plastic white spoons and forks in the bag all day long. It seems that chopsticks would be more available than silverware in a Chinese Restaurant. I have never heard of nor could imagine being charged for CHOPSTICKS in a Chinese Restaurant . This is basic like fried rice or fortune cookies. Maybe because the place is in a Black Neighborhood, and that Blacks are 99% of the clientele that they feel that they do not have to supply chopsticks. This is racism at it’s finest. Blacks are good enough to support your business but not good enough to get a pair of chopsticks with their order. This is ludicrous.

Strictly takeout. I stupidly ordered from the lunch menu & thus got fried rice instead of white (I included photos with both), which they replaced without debate even though it was my mistake. My sweet & sour chicken was good, but I would never have expected tomatoes in it. Great spring rolls. Their almond cookies are great & super cheap–even more so than the large portion meals overall: $16.75 made 2 meals for my wife + 1.5 for me!

First timer …Food took about 15 minutes. Very busy place had to circle a few times to park. Very busy lobby just wait in your car. They give huge portions and spring rolls were just ok. They weren’t fried hard enough, inside was undercooked. Overall I was satisfied and I would come back but it’s far from my house.

I tried to get the best pictures I could… this is a quart of shrimp fried rice… barely any shrimp mostly rice! I ordered food from this restaurant for a party and was disappointed when the food arrived because there weren’t many shrimps in the rice. It’s pricey so I would expect more. (We also got a quart of beef fried rice and chicken fried rice. I didn’t take pictures of those, but same thing. Just rice)

Made an order for dinner, shrimp fried rice, gravy, egg rolls, sesame chicken, and chicken wings. Egg rolls were horrible. It tasted like a cinnamon roll. Gravy was unseasoned. Fried rice was unseasoned as well. Food has gone down hill since owners changed. Very sad, and disappointing.

Went there tonight to grab a bite to eat. My food WAS getting kinda good until I started chewing my Chinese fried rice and something got stuck and pierced into my lower gums. It looks like a piece of wire or a staple from the stapler gun! I DIDN’T FINISH MY FOOD! AND I WON’T BE RETURNING THERE ANYMORE!!!! CAN I GET MY $14.00 BACK PLEASE?????

Food is nasty not like how it use to be, the was mushy. I Ordered peppers steak. Aint nothing about that meat steak Never again go else were! They are not the same like back in the days, I dont know what meat they are using.
