The food tasted stale; the oil it was cooked in was old and tasted burnt. The cachapa was terrible; I couldn’t taste any corn at all, and it tasted like pork fat. Anyone who knows Venezuelan cuisine can tell the difference between a well-prepared dish and one that isn’t, and this was awful. If you want a real Venezuelan breakfast, this isn’t the place, at least not the one in Hialeah. The music was deafening.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is good only for empanadas and to dine in. If you buy food to go you may get a surprise. Yesterday I bought a chica and despite the fact that on the bottle it’s a sticker that reads best by 9/16/2024 today is 9/12/2024 the product is damage and taste like vinegar . In another time I had bought a special with supposedly bistec with rice and sweet plantains. The stake and the sole of the shoes was the same thing+ the plantains tasted like old oil the rice was decent. :/

Went for a coffee 25 minutes before closing, and they said they already cleaned the coffee machine. If closing time is at 2pm, I think is reasonable to offer service until that time.

Piamonte is one of Miami’s hidden treasures. It an authentic restaurant from Maracaibo, Venezuela with absolutely no loss of flavor, atmosphere, or culture when it was brought over to Miami. This was my first time here on 11-25-2018. Let’s start off with flavor. I am Argentine and all I can say is WOW. The food is cooked with a flavor that rivals that of the most expensive restaurants in the South Florida region. The passion and creativity in the recipes reflect the love and culture that can be found in Maracaibo. The plates are generous enough to fill and please just about any belly. I for one am not a groupie of Arepas, BUT the Arepas Piamonte makes are irresistible. Their chicken soup is a little pricey but very well worth it. It tastes homemade full of vegetables and a massive chunk of chicken. The soup is not acidic, salty, or greasy like most Hispanic restaurants. Its served hot but just the right temperature. We also tried a typical plate “bollitos pelones” which were very good. Next up is service. The service Jesus provided us with was second to none. Very knowledgeable, very attentive, very friendly, great conversation and fantastic time management (hint hint speedy with all his tables without running around).
Third are prices! They are not McDonald’s dollar menu cheap but 2 adults with desert soda sharing an app can easily spend under $35 and a small meal is on average $12.
Last but not least is atmosphere/location. The restaurant is LOADED with TVs but not overkill like a Bokampers 😉 . The decor is very nice and modern. It is family & friends oriented during the day and trendy oriented at night. They were softly playing typical Maracaibo music “Gaita.” The occupational limit is 49 people which means it’s a small restaurant but not small enough for significant wait times. The location is on the first floor of a tiny multistory building shopping center. There is plenty of parking close to the entrance and is very close to 826 right next to BJ’s and Walmart.

The arepas were cold, and very small for the price. Told the girl at the register and she asked if we wanted them “reheated”. The tequenos and cheese empanadas were good. The carne mechada empanada was also cold. We came here expecting to love the food, but we left disappointed.

Good food but bad customer service, honestly people who doesn’t like to serve the people just don’t work like server and find another job please! Cheaper prices than other Venezuelan restaurants. Be aware that they charge 18% automatically without letting you know and when you pay they put more tips options. I don’t mind to give 18% but you have to let people know and off course I will not give extra tip for bad customer service. Great food!

The quality of the food has change in the past few months. Unfortunately the customer service is horrible!!
Even the owner that should be nice, she can very rude. Not sure is they are always closed on Monday but I placed an order online (I even paid for the order) and when I went there to pick it up, the store was closed. I saw people inside and I was trying to talk to one of them and they were trying to ignore me. They didn’t even open the door. I’m still waiting for the refund.
Now days there’s zero customer service. Is like they are doing YOU a “FAVOR”.

No bad but I prefer Doral location because the empanadas are made at the moment you order
