The food at Ozumo was absolutely delicious. It’s a shame the Santana Row location near us went downhill, otherwise we’d still be dining there often. This time, we stopped in before a Giants game and enjoyed a sake tasting flight along with a dozen other dishes—everything was fantastic. The vibe was chill and, being a Wednesday night, the restaurant was pretty quiet. Our server was sweet and the runners were all on point. Thank you for a fabulous meal—definitely a million times better than ballpark food. We’ll need to come back more often!

The first time I went here months ago, I tried the spicy poke (“tuna poke” if you order via Toast), and loved it. I wanted to wait for a special occasion to reorder it, since it’s really expensive. Today I ordered online for pickup and was wildly disappointed upon receiving my order.

When I picked up my order, I was shocked to discover that this isn’t even the same dish.

There was NO radish, takuan, cucumber, scallion, pickled ginger, or crushed avocado at all!!! And on top of that, there were ingredients that aren’t even listed, like seaweed salad, white onions, and edamame.

Generally, I am a fan of their food (happy hour is great!), ambience, and customer service, but today I was really disappointed. 🙁 Not to mention, the fish did not taste fresh. :((

I would have appreciated full transparency if the item is discontinued or ingredients were out.

Had really good food, very close and convenient to the hotel beside it. Service was a little hectic, but they made up for it. It is a bit on the pricey side. Has a big drink selection. The server was really nice. All the workers looked professional.

Large open space with a very clean vibe. Bar with some seating in front, open high-ceiling table-seating in back. The sushi was outstanding. We had several different rolls – the rainbow roll was notably excellent. The Mizuna Salad was great – fresh fruit, mixed greens and pepinos with a light dressing. Their miso soup is subtle and perfect. The wagyu beef was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, though as others have commented, a bit pricey. Special mention to Army, who provided excellent service.

If you are looking for high-quality sushi in the crowded SF market, try Ozumo!!

Unique and delicious menu items. The made my SO’s birthday very special with a card and dessert. The miso soup is so delicious, I can’t even understand it! Gluten-free items clearly marked and they use tamari rather than soy sauce. It is not dedicated space but I felt very safe enjoying their food.

Ozumo Sushi at Santana Row absolutely exceeded every expectation. I came with my best friend to celebrate her 21st birthday, and from the moment we arrived, the customer service was outstanding. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely excited to help us celebrate.

The staff was extremely attentive without ever being overwhelming—constantly checking in, clearing plates, and making sure we had everything we needed. Our table was never cluttered, and we never once felt forgotten. On top of that, we were treated to so many fun amenities that made the night feel extra special and celebratory.

The overall energy was warm, upbeat, and professional, which made the experience feel effortless and memorable. Between the exceptional service and the thoughtful attention to detail, it was truly an amazing night. I would absolutely recommend Ozumo for any special occasion—or honestly, just for a great dining experience in general.

Great Japanese restaurant with a variety of options (including gluten free) plus a full bar that wraps around the center of the main level. We tried the habani (hamachi), kinoko (mushrooms), nasu (eggplant), and some sushi rolls. Everything was very delicious. The mushroom dish was our favorite. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

We had an incredible dining experience here. The sushi selections were not only fresh but also creative and beautifully presented. Each roll felt thoughtfully crafted, and the rice was perfectly seasoned.
Service started off a bit slow, but once our server got to us, everything flowed smoothly and professionally from that point on.
My son ordered 8oz A5 Wagyu from the Miyazaki Prefecture, and it absolutely lived up to the reputation. I had my first espresso martini’s ever which turned into several that were amazing.
The Choco-Chan dessert was the highlight for me, very unique, and a perfect finish to the meal.
This spot is a must-visit for any sushi lover passing through San Francisco. Can’t wait to come back!
