Update: came back a second time and it was even more delicious than I remembered! I highly recommend grabbing a pie here! You can get pizza by the slice and the slices are massive. If you are around in good weather there is outdoor seating with a great view!

Pizza was good. It looks like it’ll be crusty, but it was a bit soggy toward the middle. Still really good.
But the wings were the highlight. You can smell them when you walk in. We got the basic ones and they were so good. The meat just fell off the bone and they were so well seasoned.

First time there. Won’t be the last. Funky, fun atmosphere with great pizza and matching service. Many conversations were inspired by the decor. Many items are made from scratch. Several of the drink choices were local to Maine.

Finally stopped in to give it a whirl. I ordered a cast iron deep dish, “Drexl Spivey”, pepperoni. It was a beautiful afternoon on the deck with a view of Damariscotta river to wait for my pie. Friendly woman at the counter delivered my pie and I dug in. Initial bite was a perfect bite of all the ingredients, all of the components were able to be tasted individually and it was well balanced. The crust had a good crunch, and was lighter than expected, think pillowy goodness. With that being said, the best part of the pizza was the caramelized cheese that was everything I love about cooking pizza in a cast iron pan. While waiting for my pizza to be cooked, all I could smell was the smoker going with chicken wings that looked amazing. If they tasted half as good as they looked, I’ll be back for wings. 10/10 I’ll be back!!

Great wood-fires pizza place! Just be aware they close early! Went on Thursday so close at 7. Tables set up outside and pizza came out quick.

Amazing crust! Stretchy yet flaky, absolutely delicious. If you are chasing a perfect pizza, start here. The crust alone is like perfect artisan bread. The pizza we we ordered was so good with top notch toppings and sauce. Eager to return again soon.

The restaurant has a deck which views the river and sunsets. We ordered the margarita pizza to go. Sadly, it was dry and the crust was at least 3” wide in much of it and inedible. There was very little pizza to enjoy and it was very disappointing.

These guys have a brilliant diversity of pizza choices! Our Magnum III had “bacon” that was more fried pork belly, so juicy, crispy, and wonderful. Crusts are thin, but chewy and simply perfect. Great service, too, it’s great seeing a happy crew at work!

So glad our friends brought us here to try it out. My husband has been pining for a deep-dish pizza after seeing it on Oysterhead Pizza’s social media. Not only does the pizza look delicious, it tastes as good as it looks! We got a deep dish pie and it was the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. We also got some smoked wings to try and they were fantastic as well! Juicy and flavorful but nice crisp outside. The homemade ranch was also so good that we ate it all up with the wings. We will be back and highly recommend this spot to friends. Bonus: the interior vibe is 10/10. SLC Punk was playing on the TV and “United States of Whatever” by Liam Lynch was playing on the sound system. Pictures of John Candy as Uncle Buck and Betty White with a hot dog. And a fragile leg lamp in the window. “Frah-geel-eh? Must be Italian.”
