We went for a Valentine’s Day dinner and everything was exceptional. We started off with cocktails, yummy local bakery bread and fancy butters, then perfect chargrilled oysters. We split the very large Caesar
salad. Then, I had the filet and my husband had the pork chop. The steak was juicy and well seasoned, the fingerling potatoes were so good I ate many more than I meant to! And the vegetable medley was a nice surprise. The pork chop was so delicious he ate every bite, but I did have a taste and the sauce was just right. We also had another cocktail and the house Cabernet with dinner. We finished off the evening with the bread pudding. Just like I remembered as a kid from Sunday brunch! I’d say get a reservation (we did), at one point all tables in our section were filled!

Our first visit was impressive & a great experience. Beautiful restaurant, decor, light fixtures are amazing, staff is great. Ron was our server & he was impeccable. Friendly, professional & we appreciated his recommendations. Our drinks were amazing – Old Fashion & Strawberry Pineapple & Coconut Cream mocktail- soooo good!!! We had the fried calamari to start. Lightly battered, crispy & well seasoned. I had the Cajun fish & chips/I opted for hand cut kettle chips, light batter & moist fish & crispy chips. My bf had the classic crawfish etouffee with rice / it wad unbelievable. So much flavour. And the soup of the day: roasted red pepper. Really tasty. To end our experience…we had The beignets and they were warm & yummy.

This is a Memphis classic that pays homage to New Orleans cuisine. I brought my New Orleans friend to a group dinner and he had “thoughts” about the authenticity of the dishes. My gumbo was ok, but he said the consistency was not quite right. The server seemed to be putting on an amusing show with snippy quips. But overall, it was a good experience and a little taste of New Orleans.

Please ask for Matthew, he is the most gracious, attentive, professional, waiter I have ever met in the city of Memphis.

Love this place & the ambience. Lunch cost is about average in the Memphis location for lunch. The food & presentation is always great. Recently informed there will be live music on Wednesday nights – looking forward to the experience. I’ve also had their Sunday brunch buffet & omg! It was worth $50 bc there were so many options from standard breakfast, to shrimp / grits/ seafood such as shrimp/ raw oysters & they even have dessert like crème brûlée, cookies etc. Yummmmm. They also had live jazz music during Sunday brunch & I fell in love w/ this place. Definitely worth dining.

Greeted warmly when we came in. Asked if we had a reservation, which I did because I was told that they do get busy for brunch, but it wasn’t busy at all. Service was great. Everyone was happy and smiling. The food was the issue. Everything was room temperature which means it was not freshly made. The brisket was not good at all. Tasted like boiled meat without any seasoning. The steak had bell peppers and onions in it but still lacked any seasoning. The pork loin was decent but again, room temperature. The deviled eggs were not good. All the chicken was room temperature. The cinnamon rolls were hard like they were old. The sausage looked old. The bacon was ok but also seemed old. All the cookies looked like they were purchased from Sam’s. The macaroni was room temperature. The red beans and rice were good and warmer than everything else. This place is extremely overrated. $107 for two people and we didn’t even eat/enjoy $10 worth of food. I considered coming back and trying lunch but it’s just not worth it. If they don’t care enough to serve hot food for brunch, they can’t care too much about any of their food. I’m not happy about this and wouldn’t come back.

Hope this helps someone. OB is not the crème de crème it use to be. Our server Michael started off rocky. His energy approaching us as if he has never waited on African Americans. This is my first time ever feeling this way in a restaurant setting. My husband told him it was his bday after he asked for our ID’s and he immediately said hope your ID isn’t expired! Huh?! They were out the ribeye I ordered and he alerted me from the beginning the champagne i ordered i received was he last bottle. I made an error in ordering the oysters but the mistake end up fairing well. Do not order the Bienville tasteless. The Filet mignon was cooked temperature perfect but no flavor! The banana foster dessert was amazing! Please do not celebrate a birthday here, unless you would love your server asking is your ID valid, weird.

My wife and I have been going Owen’s for 15 yrs 2 to 4 times a year. And Always on Valentines. But this past Valentines was the last time we go there. The service was ok, not Great. The food was ok, Steak tasted burn!!! No flavor, The Cream Creme Brule was nothing Special, but to find a 20% for large group my $200 +, large it was me and my wife.

I have eaten at Owen Breannan’s before at least twice both times for brunch and I have had good experiences. This time I visited with a party of 5 on a Saturday. We were some of the first customers in the door and they had a scheduled event. Our server was nice but it took him a long time to come back to our table between taking our drink and app order. Which was not really a big deal because I just knew that my food would be fantastic but that was not the case. I started off with the crab cake app. Which was $27. It was a single cake which is ok I guess for the type of establishment it is. The problem was that the cake was dry and had way too much lemon zest and lemon juice in it. I also thought that it would be enough to share with the table so by the time we all tried it, it was gone so I didn’t complain much but I did tell the waiter. After that ordered the red fish with the étouffée. My fish was cooked too long and it was dry and my rice was uncooked. I didn’t address these issues with my waiter because I barely saw him and by then I was ready to go. The only thing that I enjoyed was my mimosa. I wasn’t going to write a review but a $100 is a lot spend on food I didn’t enjoy.

Haven’t been here in years. Service was okay. It wasn’t crowded when I went but it was kinda slow. The food was okay. Did it to not be busy my calamari came out luke warm. Wasn’t a fan. The steak was good I order medium well but it came out well. I already waited a minute for the food to come out so I didn’t say anything but the food was still good. I want to give their brunch a try. I might come back I might not.
