Ambiance was wonderful. City feels in the suburbs. Even on the coldest day of the year, the atmosphere was great and the restaurant was completely packed. Great liquor selection, great bar scene. Great for a sit down dinner or to post up at the bar and have a few drinks and a great meal.
We started with the calamari fritti, which was prepared to perfection, alongside the Wagyu meatballs and the beef ragu poutine with crispy steak fries. For our main course, we shared the chicken parm for two; it was absolutely amazing with a perfect crust and great sauce. We also enjoyed the spaghetti, rigatoni, and bucatini pasta, all of which were excellent.
I look forward to returning soon to try more wonderful dishes.

We had such a wonderful experience here! The food and cocktails absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish was a hit. Some favorites
Shrimp scampi was so delicious, spaghetti and wagyu meatballs were out of this world, the bronzino was light and yummy, vito sliders were so tasty and perfect to share, pappardelle short rib bolognese was good, the classic margarita pizza was incredible with the perfect crust and fresh ingredients you can taste, the artichoke alla romano were very tasty, and the prosciutto + burrata were definitely a favorite.
For dessert we ordered the homemade cannolis which were good, but a bit overwhelming with the orange zest. We would have went easy on the orange zest or could have done without.
What really made the night unforgettable was our server AVA, who went above and beyond. She was attentive, friendly, and so much fun. You can tell they truly care about the guests. Amazing food, amazing service—we can’t wait to come back!

A new restaurant in our neighborhood. Went for lunch to try it. Ordered wagyu meatball and the mussels as appetizers- meatballs served 4 pcs, nothing special, it was ok. I love mussels in general except when it have a fishy aftertaste. This mussels had a bit of fishy aftertaste especially the ones that were not soaked in the sauce. The foccacia was delightfully soft and tasty. For entree, we ordered short ribs Bolognese and the pan seared scallops. Love love love the scallops. Highly recommended it. #supportlocalbusiness

Came in for the first time today and had a 10/10 experience. The server was kind and attentive, the food was the best Italian food i have ever had, and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice but not up tight dining experience. I would highly recommend coming here for a nice night out with friends, family, or significant other.

Came here with a group of my girls today and I will say the hype around town did not let down! The reservation process was very easy and quick to fill out! We came in half an hour after they opened and we were greeted by such lovely hostesses and a warm atmosphere, the service by our server zusy was outstanding, she was very educated on the menu and answered every question we had. The food was immaculate and on the spot! we ordered a little more than we could handle because the menu was amazing haha! We definitely got our moneys worth and will be coming again!!!

I was really excited to try Ovvio Italian Taverna since it’s new in Glenview and so close to home. Unfortunately, the experience was pretty underwhelming.
We went during a late lunch / early dinner time, and it wasn’t busy, yet the service was still very slow. Everything took much longer than expected.
The roasted Brussels sprouts had good flavor, but they weren’t crispy and ended up a bit soggy. I ordered the Mezze Lumache alla Vodka, which was the biggest disappointment. The sauce tasted like plain marinara rather than a creamy vodka sauce.
The arugula and grape salad was fresh and good, just very basic. Nothing particularly memorable. The highlight of the meal was definitely Nonna’s chocolate hazelnut cake. It was good and a very generous portion.
My friends also tried the calamari, Marsala chicken, and Wagyu meatballs. The calamari was probably the best dish of the night. The meatballs, however, were not good and ended up being sent back.
Overall, not a terrible experience, but not somewhere I’d personally go back to. Hoping things improve as they settle in.

Ordered thru Toast local. It was ready in 20 minutes and we got our food without a hitch! It was ready with the hostess.

Went to Ovvio for my mom’s birthday and the food was fantastic! The atmosphere and restaurant itself were so beautiful. I also really appreciated the complimentary valet given the parking lot is quite small. The servers have amazing attention to detail and quite attentive at all times! My absolute favorite dish was the grilled bread with the fig jam and whipped ricotta. I could not stop eating it. For entrees, we got the Mediterranean salmon and the filet. Both were cooked to perfection, extremely fresh, and perfect portion size. Finally, we finished with one of the best tiramisu’s in my life! The almonds on top added the most amazing crunch. I look forward to coming back soon with more of my family and friends!

Ovvio was amazing! From the moment we walked in to the time we left everything and everyone was top notch. From the food runners Paulino and Alec! To the amazing server, Zusy. I can’t thank the managers enough, Lalo and Alejandro. The staff were extremely knowledgeable in the menu and made the best recommendations. We had the Yes, Honey and the Glentucky, which were so refreshing but don’t forget to try the dessert cocktails (the Jump start was chefs kiss)! We couldn’t just pick two entrees we picked three, Mezi Lumache alla Vodka was my favorite, but the lobster Ravioli and the Bistecca alla Griglia (cooked to perfection) were also delicious. I’m still thinking about the butter cake. We will be back to try the pizza!
