OUTSTANDING! If you are gluten free and looking for a special occasion cake or coffee cake this is your place. I have tried other bakeries in Salem who’s GF cakes were dry and over priced. Oven Bird is priced well and the cake is the most moist cake I have ever had, even better than regular flour. This is definitely my new place, plus they are super friendly people. Thank you so much for my wonderful birthday cake, next I will order the sandwich rolls!

My wife and I ordered my daughters birthday cake here for her 7th birthday. I can’t express in enough words or use the right words because the words I need don’t exist. The cake they made is the most amazingly delicious cake I’ve ever had! We used to like the custom made Costco cakes, but in comparison, even though Costco cakes are really good, they are horrible when compared to Ovenbird!

We had Ovenbird Bakery make and delivery the cakes for our wedding, 150+ppl. Pink champagne cake with marionberry jam and vanilla buttercream frosting. Chocolate cake with vanilla pastry cream filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. Chocolate cake with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. They tasted amazing, look beautiful, and were delivered on time. It was a pleasure working with Ovenbird and I look forward to trying more of their baked goods.

This is not a Starbucks, this is a local Bakery with really great reasonably priced coffee and delicious freshly made pastries. I love the atmosphere. Talk about feeling comfortable, this is the place.

Best secret of Independence. There Danish’s are the best I have tried. They are not too sweet (unlike most danish’s) you can eat one and not feel gross after. And their sandwiches at lunch are killer got to go with there house made sourdough bread.
