5/5 stars all the way around ✨
Chris greeted us and served us – what an absolute star/stand out! He gave us a very warm welcome, got to know us a bit while also telling us a bit about himself and some history on the Restaurant. He made some awesome recommendations and there were no disappointments. Expectations were only exceeded. I love a good medium well steak and it’s been a long time since I’ve had it cooked to perfection. I usually get it over or underdone but Outskirts nailed it, a perfect, juicy medium well. It was a memorable, warm and delicious experience. We will definitely be back. Thanks for having us!

The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was solid. We tried the sampler (fried pickles, cheese curds, onion rings), a quesadilla, and the classic breakfast, and everything tasted really good. Bonus points for the larger dressing cups. I’d recommend stopping in.

A new breakfast joint? Yes. Please. This isn’t your average cheap diner slop. This is scratch breakfast and lunch options with some Arizona flair and boy does it shine.

Upon entering you are greeted by the host and seated. We were waited on by co-owner Chris and he is just a ball of energy and is eager to answer any questions or concerns. They did have some items that were not on the menu that they added and a couple new proteins to choose from.

My wife got the classic and it was a great amount of food. Not greasy at all with good flavor. Hasbrowns were not soggy but fluffy with a good crisp. The sourdough toast? Fluffy and buttered to perfection.

Now me? If I go somewhere new and you have a burger, I will get the burger. You can always judge a place on its burgers and HOLY COW did this exceed expectations. I ended up getting the breakfast steak burger. This burger comes on a brioche bun, hash browns, bacon, cheese, and a fried egg cooked however you want. The patty was cooked great with a great crust on it. The bacon? Incredibly thick cut and well flavored. The egg was great but I do have to knock em down a little because the egg was a bit over cooked for what I requested (I’m talking like cooked 10 seconds too long).

I did get the burger with their specialty home fries. This showcased that Arizona flair as it was wonderful cooked sliced potato’s with some onion and chiles. But it wasn’t overbearing at all! It felt very cohesive and was a chefs kiss to chiles everywhere.

I will say, bit of a hot take here, portions for the home fries with the burger was a bit much. The burger was VERY filling and I felt like I couldn’t make a dent in the pile of potatoes! Absolutely worth the cost of the food but I didn’t want to leave uneaten food but if I ate more I was gonna explode.

Another con for me is the credit card fee. I personally am not a fan of charging the fee as I also own a business and choose not to do this. But it certainly isn’t a deterrent of a great business but be advised that if you pay with a card, you will be hit with a percentage.

Parking lot hasn’t changed since the previous businesses and can be a bit tight. Interior is cozy and nicely setup to accommodate a good amount of people without feeling cramped.

Drinks are Coke products, coffee, hot chocolate (usual stuff) 3.50 is what we paid but I do believe that comes with refills.

Overall I was gonna give this a 4/5 but as I stand here pacing back in forth coming out of a food coma, I’m going to stick with a 5/5

Me and my daughter went to outskirts and it is absolutely AMAZING we talked with one of the owners and it was great to hear there story. The food was delicious and not overly pricey. We look forward to see what this place has to offer in the future like brisket and ice cream. This was a overall wonderful experience and I hope to go again.

The man who greeted and served us was so friendly and quick. Never had to ask for refills. Come to find out he’s the owner. Super kind guy, had plenty of recommendations and talks to you like a friend.

The food is phenomenal, good portions for the price. Local syrup sourced from Shepherd pairs super well with their sweet pancakes, their thick cut bacon can’t be found anywhere else in town. Oh, and did I mention the owner will just chat with you and serve you himself?

Yeah. Super cool place. A gem of the Mount Pleasant food scene.

This restaurant is exactly what Mt. Pleasant needs! The dishes on the menu are well thought out and have high quality ingredients. The food is unique and different then anything in town already. Highly recommend the pancakes (not just your average pancake just trust me) and their breakfast burrito is out of this world. Also SUPER friendly staff/owner. Will be coming back every chance we get

Over the last couple of months, Outskirts Cafe has become our goto spot for breakfast. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful and we are welcomed with a genuine, hearty greeting every time we come through the door. Bob, Laurie and Chris makes us feel like family and we have watched them do the same with everyone. The food is phenomenal and when they are cooking the Sweet Cream Pancakes the whole place will smell like cake! Crab Cake Benedict is my favorite but there are constantly tempting, new options showing up on the “Features” board. There is something here for everyone and you just can’t go wrong with whatever you choose!

Food, prices, service…. all excellent here! We went with our young children. They treated the kids like gold. Great breakfast and lunch options. Also, they use real maple syrup (among other real ingredients)! Highly recommend!
