Phenomenal! A must-try if you are visiting Louisville. Excellent vegetarian and vegan options. I had the Abyssinian Combo #1 and the tea. I arrived starving on a snowy day and left full and warm!

Delicious! I’ve had all the vegetarian offerings and the red lentil stew is by far my favorite. It is a little spicy but so flavorful. The potatoes amd carrots is my next favorite item. I’ve ordered from them on Uber eats and it has been just as amazing as it was in the restaurant. Highly recommend!

I was surprised and pleased to find an Ethiopian restaurant within walking distance of the hotel (Omni Louisville). Went with a group of colleagues and we had a wonderful time.

We were a party of 10 so made a reservation. They were ready for us when we arrived. The food options were plentiful. I had the Beef Tibs (mild) and they were very tasty and well spiced. The lentil sambusas were also excellent and for dessert the biggest piece of baclava I’ve ever seen.

Unfortunately I don’t live in Louisville but if I’m ever in town again I will be back.

The beef sambussa starter was amazing. The lamb main dish was good, but a little bland (partly my fault as it did say “mild”)

A delightful and polite waitress, and a terrific and filling meal. I had the meat sampler 2!

A great selection of savory meats and vegetable curries with a hefty side of injera (a soft spongy bread), a flavorful salad mix and a layer of injera underneath as well!

Highly recommend!

I am veg and had a delicious, all-veg meal here. The coffee ceremony at the end where they roast the beans just for you was a special experience too, with the fresh made popcorn at the end.

I got the veggie lunch combo and a cup of Ethiopian coffee. Both were absolutely delicious. Every component of my meal was tasty and well seasoned. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and the service was also great.

Super awesome local business from Ethiopia that I cannot give enough appreciation for bringing their incredible to us so well. Everything was cheap and authentic, they treated us very well and the environment was pleasant, and the food was even better than I expected. My only tiny complaint would be that the service was a bit slow, but that was because they truly an unusually large crowd when we came, however they still served us at a good pace (it really wasn’t that slow). I wish I could’ve gotten everything, but I got the spicy lamb tips with split peas and red lentils – can’t think of any criticism, it was all so much better than I imagined. Love this place and I’m not from Louisville, but I sincerely hope I can come back some day.

We love East African food and randomly found this restaurant on Google because we were craving the flavors. We were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, the restaurant was clean, and the gentleman serving us was polite and generous. It was the best Ethiopian/Eritrean food I have had since being on the continent. I am not from Louisville but would recommend to the locals and would eat here again if I am in the area.
