Service and Atmosphere is nice but the food lacks. Menu descriptions do not match what is served. Not fresh food. Clearly frozen. Would not be back.

As you can see from the picture it was only rings. And they tasted frozen and fishy. They were gross. The pasta was also overcooked. Probably premade.

In my opinion this place is underrated at 4.5 stars. Our waitress (Lilly) was beyond special! my interaction with her alone would have made me give 5 stars! But then on top of that experience. THE FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL!!!
I will definitely be eating here again, and will sing the praises of this small restaurant in Hobbs NM.

We went around 11 am on a Friday and there was only one other table occupied. We were seated immediately and the service was prompt and excellent. We ordered the fried calamari; it was delicious and came with two sauces but the spicy arrabiatta/marinara was our favorite. My husband and I both got steaks and they were cooked to perfection . For sides I got green beans and a baked potato which were both very flavorful while my husband got macaroni and asparagus for sides, which were also excellent. We also got the pork belly as an appetizer but think it should be fried/crispier and cut into bite size pieces but the flavor was good. Overall, the experience was very good and we will be back on our visits to Hobbs.

I have to be honest… when I first pulled up to The Outlaw Grill, I genuinely thought I was at the wrong address. For a second, I felt like I had the wrong location. It’s tucked away, cozy, unassuming — the kind of place you almost drive past if you’re not paying attention.
But let me tell you something… you are NOT at the wrong address.
This little hole-in-the-wall spot might look small on the outside, but the flavors coming out of that kitchen are absolutely larger than life.
Now let’s talk about the steak.
12/10. Not a typo.
Perfect sear. Cooked exactly how I asked. Juicy, flavorful, and seasoned like someone back there truly understands beef. Every bite had that “close your eyes and nod your head” kind of energy. This wasn’t just a good steak — this was the kind of steak that makes you rethink other steaks you’ve had.
And then… the roasted garlic broccoli.
I don’t know what kind of sorcery they’re working with, but that side dish left me speechless. Tender, roasted perfectly, packed with garlic flavor without overpowering the natural taste. I’ve never been this impressed by broccoli in my life. Ever.
The vibe? Intimate. Comfortable. Zero fluff. Just great food and a place that feels authentic. It’s proof that you don’t need a massive dining room or flashy exterior when your food speaks that loudly.

Truly delightful meal here. Was in Hobbs for work and decided to eat a sit down meal. Had the chicken fried steak and green chili chowder. Both were so good! I’ve been thinking about the chowder for days.

Had such a great experience at Outlaw Grill this morning thanks to Cinay! The food was absolutely amazing — everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.
Cinay made it even better with her incredible service. She was so friendly, attentive, and on top of everything without being overbearing. She checked in at the perfect times and made sure we had everything we needed. It honestly made the whole experience 10/10.

I ordered chicken tenders with fries and everything was to perfection! The crispy batter on the chicken made the eating experience delicious. The fries were also yummy. I will surely order again when I’m craving chicken. The staff were friendly even for being busy. I ordered online and each request was fulfilled.

I’m only giving 4 stars because I think there’s room for improvement; not so much on the food—it’s delicious—but on the whole look of the restaurant. My family and I went for lunch on a Tuesday, and initially had to wait awhile. A polite young man came from the back and asked us to wait a bit longer so that he could wash off a table for us. First thing I noticed when we were seated was that the tablecloths are in need of replacement. They’re fitted to the tables, but are shredding on the edges where people lean up against them. The restaurant could really use an uplift, newer tablecloths, maybe a bouquet of flowers on each table, (things that would spruce up the place, yet not cost a lot). My sister and I, as well as other family members who’ve visited Hobbs like coming to the Outlaw Grill when we’re in town. We’ve had the chicken Marsala and REALLY like it, but I didn’t want to order the same thing this go round, so I asked if there was anything else on the menu my sister liked; she suggested the chicken Scaloppini. We ordered the two chicken dishes and my nephew ordered the smoking barrel burger. We waited awhile for our food, but it was well worth the wait! My sister and I shared, and found it was a great combination; my nephew’s burger looked delicious as well. He finished his meal, but both of us sisters had to take our leftovers home for dinner–oh dern! The food was still good even after being reheated later! I sure hope the Outlaw Grill can stay up with the changing times and in business for a long while, continuing to serve the same delicious food!
