Our family recently had the pleasure of dining at the OutLaw Diner & Grill during our visit to Sheridan. As Wisconsinites, we’re no strangers to American food, but this restaurant truly brought a unique Western flair to our dining experience.
The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly service. The rustic decor and cowboy-themed artwork really set the stage for an authentic Wild West atmosphere. It felt like we were stepping back in time, and that was part of the charm.
We started our meal with the Chili Cowboy Nachos, and they were deliciously satisfying! The nachos were piled high with perfectly seasoned chili, melted cheese, and all the classic fixings. Our kids, who can sometimes be picky eaters, loved it just as much as we did.
For our main courses, we couldn’t resist trying their famous Wyoming Bison Burger and BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich. The bison burger was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and the pulled pork was tender and smoky. We couldn’t help but notice the generous portion sizes; we all left with our bellies full and satisfied.
The OutLaw Diner & Grill offers an impressive selection of local craft beers, and our adult family members thoroughly enjoyed the refreshing options on tap. Our server was knowledgeable and helped us choose the perfect beer to complement our meals.
What really made our visit special, besides the tasty food, was the hospitality of the staff. They made us feel right at home, sharing stories about Big Horn and the surrounding area. It’s clear that they take pride in their community and their restaurant, and it made our dining experience even more memorable.
We’re giving the OutLaw Diner & Grill four stars instead of five because the wait time for our food was a bit longer than expected. However, in hindsight, we realized that the quality of the food and the friendly atmosphere more than made up for it. After all, we were on vacation and in no rush.
