First the service was absolutely awesome. They were kind, respectfully, and attentive, especially our server. If she notice one of our cups even half empty she was rushing to bring us more. I wish I could remember her name to giver a shout out. Now the cook on the other hand sent my food out wrong three times. The third time I just dealt with it. He sent two of my daughters out wrong he did correct that with one try. Granted we went on valentines day so they were real busy. The atmosphere was great. Calming and relaxing. There was a very rude customer throwing a fit at the table next to me. Which I was not really bothered by, yet I did feel bad for the waitress.
Now why my stars are low is because later that night I ended up in the hospital. That is where I found out I had food poison. That was the only thing I ate that day. I’ve called them and they told me they left my name and number for the manager. Yet I haven’t heard from anyone. It has honestly ruined my love for outback. We had 7 people with us. Our ticket was nearly $300 if not more. For 4 of us to end up in the hospital. All of us who had steak got sick.

We always have a great experience here! Only one complaint. Why, why, why would they take away the salted caramel skillet cookie?? It was so good! We sometimes would visit the restaurant just for that. Otherwise, great service, great food. And Peyton the bartender is the BEST!!!

7-30-25 Update
My Wife and I decided to give Outback another shot and I have to say I’m glad we did. The drinks, appetizers and main courses came out quick. Our server Fred was great, very attentive but didn’t hover, I could seem him checking our table from a distance, he was very polite and helpful. Thanks Fred and everyone else in the back that provided quick service and good food.

This was our worst visit to an Outback. The kid/guy that brought our drinks out was rude as hell. Enough that it pissed me off from the get go. We ordered the loaded Bloomin Onion and this thing was so over seasoned it was almost not edible. My tongue was burning from the amount of salt on it. I had the Prime Rib Sandwich. This thing was so dry and bland. I ended up just trying to eat the meat out of the sandwich but the meat had so much gristle in it that I couldn’t. The fries were ok.
My wife had an Outback Burger, it was also Bland and not cooked to the doneness requested. The waitress seemed to have a hard time understanding the toppings that my wife requested on her burger and then she gets the burger with almost nothing on it at all. She also didn’t finish her food. We left half of the food on the table. This was very disappointing but this seems to be the going trend with restaurants now. There aren’t many good ones left.
2-17-20* Revisit
My wife and I brought our children here for the first dates. I explained the situation to the host and he was very courteous in getting us all our own tables in the same area. Our waiter was also very courteous in helping us with this situation. My little girl is only 8 and my son is 14. The waiter done an excellent job working with us all especially the children. Outback has always been one of our favorite places to eat. Thanks go out to the staff that helped make this night special for us all. FYI..the floors are a bit too slippery. This is a concern for people falling and getting hurt. The mens bathroom floors are worse. Although everything is clean the floor have a very slippery residue on them.
We went at 4pm on a Friday and were seated instantly. Our server Paul H was awesome. The food was perfect. The burger was cooked perfect, lots of flavor. The appetizer was insane. If you get an appetizer get this and try it. Mac and cheese balls are dang good. My wife said the Shrimp on the barbie were seasoned good and cooked perfect. Paul H recommended trying the New Ginger Bread Martini which was freakin awesome. This was probably our best dining experience in Alexandria.

We went for lunch on Saturday and if this is how the service normally is, I can see why they weren’t busy. We were seated immediately but it was between 5-10 minutes before our server stopped by our table and took almost 20 minutes from the time we sat down to get so much as our water and son’s drink. Aside from our blooming onion being almost burnt, the food was good. But we barely saw our server. She checked on us once but someone else brought us our food and finally brought our drinks. It almost seemed like the waitress was blatantly ignoring her section.

We came in very late at night on February 12th to have a late dinner and to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It was a great experience and a happy moment to remember. It was also our first time to eat here. But, what I loved the most was the staff especially, the guy that had a tattoo on his hand(I forgot his name )who tried to sing a happy birthday and made an effort that night even though they were so tired. ❤️

Brought cousin Mary Ellen and my mom to eat for their 82nd and 79th Birthday. We drove in from Houston and visited mom’s hometown of Lecompte, Louisiana. We all had the pina koala and the steak with coconut shrimp, excellent!! Carrot cake also very good and a good time was had by all. Hope to make it back next year.

Best date ever! The staff was amazing! Loved the decorations! Made me feel comfortable and at home. We ate blooming onion burger and the chicken shrimp pasta. The burger was delicious. The pasta was good. The staff work there butts off! Love all of em! Fav part of the pasta was the grilled chicken. The price was fair. The bar had witch hats hanging from the ceiling and there was a pumpkin on a table that said “level up” at the reception desk.

This was an awesome dining experience. From the moment we walked in they took great care of us. Our server (Liyah) was amazing, gave us great suggestions for our meal that I’ll actually use next time. From the appetizer to salad to main course, everything was literally 10/10. We often go to one of the louder steakhouses in town but this was a nice change since I could actually TALK to my wife during dinner instead of having to yell at her over the Roadhouse crowd.
Just a really, really great experience here. Kitchen staff nailed it on the food and everything else was just as great. Looking forward to our next visit here.
