The steak was great, but overall, the experience was underwhelming.
The carrot on my plate was over-fried and barely edible.
My drink arrived not full (photo, video attached).
The desserts were overly sweet.
The baked potato was not edible.
The service was disorganized, with too many people involved and poor communication between servers.
On the positive side, one of the deserts, the potato cream soup was excellent, and the fries with bacon and cheese were absolutely delicious. However, the inconsistencies in food quality and service make it hard to recommend.

My husband loves Outback! Every year we go to Outback for my husband’s birthday dinner. I like Outback as well (not as much as my husband), but I don’t find they use a little too much salt in there food. Essentially, the baked potatoes. I admit, the service here is excellent! Everytime we got we have the best waiter/waitress. Even when they are really busy, their servers are always on top of taking care of you!

This Outback is way fancier than any others I been to. The service was amazing. Food was really good and they ducked my Jeep!!! It was so cute and awesome. They also are giving ducks in a drink but when I left I found another on my Jeep. I was so happy! Thank YOU!

I must say the hostess here is probably the best we’ve seen in almost our entire lives of going to restaurants. Not only did she seat us but waited til we sat down and actually handed the menus to us and not set them on the table. Our server was alright as it did take a little bit for our food to arrive. Didn’t give us an update on our food. My wife ordered the grilled chicken which the spice was too much. Had to request a spice-free replacement which the manager was kind enough to do. I had the Outback burger which was meh. Loved the Mac n cheese bites! 1 star each for the hostess, overall service and atmosphere.

We went on a Saturday afternoon.
The hostess and waitress were awesome. The salad tasted good but the cucumbers looked like cucumber had been frozen and turned translucent because of it. The bread was old, reheated and as soon as cooled off was very hard. Ordered medium rare steak got dark red in center not warm and pink. It was raw in the middle. The coconut shrimp, one (the last one I ate) had uncooked batter on it and tasted fermented. Not sure if someone was playing games in kitchen but food was gross. We both had upset stomachs the rest of the day and that was the only thing we ate all day.

From the moment we created our rewards Account online and set up a reservation. Once we arrived we were greeted by the manager Becca, who was the most accommodating as I recently went under reconstructive knee surgery. With seating accommodations and so much more. I know I kept her and Adam a lil to long with conversations and that’s what great service tho is all about building rapport. I would recommend that any date night family night or just a good night out for a good meal, and be treated with great service come to the outback here in Crystal Lake.

My wife and I went for a Valentine’s Day lunch to avoid the evening chaos. We were seated right away. The restaurant was clean with the perfect ambiance.
Maggie was our waitress and she was very attentive. The dirty plates were quickly cleared and refills were quick.
The steak and cheese dip was a perfect appetizer with the most tasty chips I have had. My steak was hot and perfectly cooked. The baked potato was hot as well with a soft and flaky texture.

The best delivery order of any food ever. All our food was properly cooked and our great delivery driver got our food to us in record time. The food was warm and delicious. They remembered all the condiments, perfection in a bag!

We placed a call ahead reservation which worked perfectly for our Saturday evening. The waitress was very attentive and all wait staff were participating in bringing refills of bread and drinks. We were hesitant to come here after going to the Madison, WI location and having had a negative experience but this location is excellent and very well managed. All the food was great and good portions for the price.
