We went here on a Friday night to the 617 north Canal west Lansing restaurant. They were busy. We waited 18 minutes to get seated, not a big deal. Then we waited 20 minutes to have any server even come to our table. We waited 53 minutes to get our meals and my meal was stone cold. The menu is now very deceiving. You get two sides with some meals and out of the list they provided as options we choose asparagus. It cost another $4 per plate. We did not know that 5 pieces would add that much.
The server was nice but was either over stretched or absent minded.
The place was very cold also.
The food was just OK. I wished I would have gone somewhere else and spent my $130.
I will not be going back anytime soon.

I feel like outbacks are declining around the country. So the food is just average maybe below. Did I get sick, no, but did it appear apetizing, no. See pictures attached for portion sizes and appearance. I had the chicken and shrimp pasta and my girl an order of shrimp from the babie, but her shrimp had no grill marks and were super moist as though boiled instead of grilled. I think the worst part was the lack of care of the property which isnt a worker probkem but a management problem. Both trashes were overflowing at the entry doors. That should have been my sign as to what to expect inside. I would only come here for a beer and a bloomin onion but maybe not even then.

It was a good time. I still think that the tail was very small but my company was larger than life and enjoyed their meal.
All four stars during the last visit.
I went again for a Father’s Day, and the appetizers were cold. the blooming onion was so greasy. The waitress needed a boost. When you have to ask for them to take your dishes, before they bring out the next entree that is bad. We still tipped 20 percent.

We met my son here for his birthday as it’s centrally located for all of us. Star was our server and she was SO great! She was so genuinely kind and joyful that you couldn’t help but smile. We frequent Outback so we knew what to expect with the food, and we weren’t disappointed. But the service is what made it. We listened to her with other tables as well and she’s just a treasure!
The example of customer service.

This was my first time at an Outback in about six months, and my first time ever at this location.
I had a wonderful experience. My server Shawn was great, super attentive and went above and beyond. He even called me “Bro Man”, which I thought was very fun.
The food was incredible. I ordered the Filet Mignon, the Lobster Tail, the Loaded Baked Potato, the Caesar Salad, and the Bloomin’ Onion. Plus I had their Fresh Bread.
Overall great experience, I will definitely be back next time I’m driving through Lansing. And shoutout to my guy Shawn!

My husband and I visited this establishment tonight for our mutual 67th birthday. We arrived at 5:30 and were immediately seated and had our order taken. We had to wait a very long time between each dish being served, The waitress was super polite and professional but the kitchen service was terrible. We left without receiving our complimentary dessert and were given a gift certificate for a return visit which we won’t be using. So disappointed on our special night!

A Cozy Outback on West Saginaw Hwy
Laying on West Saginaw Highway in Lansing’s western reaches, this relatively new addition to the Outback family is a real good restaurant. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm and inviting interior that’s worth the journey in itself.
Now, if you’re a regular Outback visitor, you’ll know that their menu isn’t about surprises; it’s about delivering on expectations. And this outpost is no exception. The menu sticks to the tried-and-true offerings that have made Outback a beloved chain.
The food hit the marked the expected standards. But it’s not just the food: the service was really good. The staff were not only nice but genuinely friendly, attentive, and quick on their feet.
The prices are reasonable, making the whole experience a delightful one. You won’t be disappointed. ️ ✨

I want to commend the exceptional staff for their kindness and patience with us after coming in so close to closing. Lansing doesn’t have many midscale dining places that are open past 10pm, and we arrived close to 9:45pm and were still served, and given exceptional service.

Outback always prepares really good food and my steak was cooked perfectly. But unfortunately they are short on cooks and so the wait time was 45 minutes to get our food. Our waitress was great but I feel bad because she’s completely reliant on the speed of the kitchen.

We have eaten here quite a few times for lunch usually every other week and everything was always fine. Everything was fine this time until we got our salads.. My husband pulled a foot-long Hair out of his mouth that came from the salad. He kept holding it up and talking about it, making me nauseated. When the waitress came back to the table, he told her about it and she apologized and bought him a new salad. I don’t blame him for the fact he kept talking about the hair he found until I told him to shut up. It was nauseating me and Ididn’t want to make me finish my salad. So I gave him the rest of my salad. The first bite, he took another hair was in my salad!!! I told him don’t tell the waitress because I felt bad for her if we complained about the other salad, having a hair in it. I also ordered the filet mignon and lobster. I ordered the filet mignon medium rare, and when it came to the table, it was rare. And again, I didn’t wanna be a complainer so I ate it without complaints. My husband called the restaurant later and talked to the manager about the incident. He did apologize and said he would give us $10 off our next meal. When my husband complained a little bit more, he offered $20 off our next meal! If that was my restaurant, I would’ve given two free meals. But I’ll never go back there again for lunch or dinner. A hair in two salads is just too much. It’s still gags me when I think about it.
