We recently moved home to Lexington and I really needed to eat. We all decided on Outback today, around 2 or 3pm, which we haven’t had since my husband and I were dating and first married, around 20 years ago! Outback was our most favorite back then, we were 18 then and now 38 with 2 babies of our own. Our oldest also loves Outback, mainly for their cheese fries, of course!

We had a huge work party (24 people) and the wait staff was phenomenal. Spot on with the orders and drinks. Food was prepared as requested and timely. The atmosphere was great and inviting.

Last night in town and we landed on Outback as our choice for our last meal in Lexington. Certainly not the most original choice, but we were staying right next to the mall. It was the most convenient choice. Ali was our server and did a great job and was super friendly. We ordered the Kookaburra Wings–one of their best apps. Neither of us got steak. I opted for the ribs and chicken combo. Good choice. Outback is consistently good and that’s what I like.

Tessa and Lance, superb servers! Went above and beyond always checking in on a party of over 20+. Food was hot, drinks were cold and never had us waiting longer than a few minutes and always checking on us to see if we needed anything else. Request for them when you have a big party. They are on point. Excellent service.

Good was well prepared and delicious. I got the grilled chicken with BBQ sauce on the side. It was so good. My cousin was not pleased with his ribeye steak saying the flavor was not good, but he did not report it to the server and ate it anyway…. and grumbled all the way home! My husband’s sirloin was perfect, and he enjoyed every bite.

Outback has always been a birthday favorite in my family. We were able to celebrate my little brother’s 21st birthday last weekend at the new outback steakhouse by the mall in Lexington Kentucky. Nice, clean new venue with an open seating concept, I personally do miss the style of the restaurants in the early 2000s that much more closed off and private seating but that’s just the world we live in now, so we all need to get on board I guess. I got the 12 ounce ribeye it was cooked very well. Very nice piece of meat. It could’ve had a bit of a better crust on it so my recommendation would be that they turn the heat up on the skillet just a tad other than that the meal was really good, potatoes were great broccoli was great and the blooming onion was absolutely fantastic. Bread was good. My brothers of appetizer was good. Overall very good experience. Just took a little bit long to get our food and had a slightly unexperienced waiter but overall we will definitely come back here.
