Saturday Night: Not that busy from what you’d expect. But, the other 2 steakhouse are by the interstate.
Position: We got there and got seated immediately in a 2 person booth (not meant for people of the Thick + variety. Due to the set table and seat positions). By the bathroom, lucky, we both had to go.
Service & Food: our Lady server was very attentive, she kept our glasses full and checked on us every 5-7 minutes. The blooming Onion we ordered had fry issues (oil needed filtering or they had too many blooms cooking at one time), but it was still good with sauce.
They have the 3 course meal thing (price changes dependingon entrée and upgrades.. we got 2), basically an entrée, 2 sides and desert. We had 6 ounce sirloins, sweet potatos, taz chili (spicy chili with steak instead of hamburger meat), and the nut salad with Blue cheese Vin. Desert was skillet cookie (hot cookie topped with ice cream and caramel sauce) and cake with sauce. We were overall and happy.

I visited Outback Steakhouse in Opelika for the first time and was absolutely impressed! Even though I was dining alone, the welcome was incredibly warm and friendly. My server, Richard, was simply outstanding – the best waiter I have ever had. He was super professional, exceptionally friendly, and just a genuinely kind person. The food was delicious, and I’m excited to come back over the next two weeks to try more dishes before I continue my travels. Highly recommend!

Our food was fine. We enjoyed our meal (burger with fries and the chili with salad), but it wasn’t a stand out. This easily beats a fast food meal.
What could have made it better… clean the place more throughly. The floors were slightly slick especially in the bathroom. A restaurant should be clean, and that was not my impression. Our visit was after 1:00 pm with a very small number of guests.
The pay-at-the-table kiosk is undoubtedly one of the best improvements; perfect!

Order pick up. I used a gift card. At order, it was fine to order fillet with toowoomba shrimp, but when I went to pick up they told me the shrimp is out for today. I ordered at 12 pm on Sunday. So they gave me options, butter, sautéed mushrooms, steamed mushrooms or onions… It was very weird that the shrimps and mushrooms are replaceable. Anyways, I chose the mushroom and brought it back. The food was ok even though I paid $50. I don’t know about the inside restaurant’s experience, but never order it by pick up or delivery.

Went the other night for Christmas Eve, our server Savannah made it absolutely worthwhile!! She is by far the best server we have had in the area and we’ll be sure to stop by again. It was super busy but she still made sure that we had what we needed. Food was really good as well! Will be back soon! Make sure to request her next time you stop by!

The cheese fries with the bacon was too greasy and salty. The ribs it was good and tender, but they wasn’t fresh. The wings was very good at fresh. But when I went to the bar area, I waited very long time to get a beer because he was by himself.

Came here for dinner tonight with my husband. The food was absolutely amazing and so was the service. Richard, the head chef tonight, was amazing. He was not our server , but he was very hands on and attentive to our table. Richard is always amazing when we come in. Very professional and personable. We need more people like him in the food and culinary industry. You can definitely tell he loves what he does.

This is the first time in a year I’ve eaten at outback and I used to love it. Now, not so much. The blooming onion didn’t taste like they used to, the steak was tough and the salad was nothing to brag about either. What happened to the quality of their food? The waiter was amazing but the food was horrible. Back to Longhorns I go. At least they are consistently very good. Good luck outback.

On my cheese cake they give you a small container with your topping on the menu doesn’t say that and it’s on it but look at the small container has a green leaf that been sitting their for days that is not sanitary ya need to put that in a bag not inside the cheese cake container and be more clean on your containers on what’s crazy we from out of state and first time dining here but I ordered online for pickup I even couldn’t take out case of beer to have with our 100$ order to take home when online it said you can carry out alcohol but OK we understand and the service inside waiting for my food I waited long to be serviced for a beer the bar tender was waiting on tables now guys ya could do better than that hire waitress and a bar tender separate he was still professional but that wasn’t OK having him bartend and weigh on tables but otherwise the wings were popping . Hope your kitchen gets a upgrade need more training !!!

I had taken my family for our Christmas dinner here. Two of my family must have gluten free meals. This was explained very carefully to our waitress because gluten will make them sick (vomiting and diarrhea). When our meals were brought out my daughter asked about a sauce on the plate, explaining again how she couldn’t eat gluten. She was assured everything on the plate was gluten free. She still removed the sauce just to be safe. A little later she realized her plate had tiny wanton strips that contain gluten. When this was explained to the manager he asked what did we want him to do about it. He said he would give some gift cards and comp the gluten free meals. No gift cards were given and the 2 cheapest meals were comped, one wasn’t even one of the gluten free meals. An awful experience all around and poorly handled by management.
