Pleasant humble small town diner that provided an exceptional breakfast for our sizable group during a visit to local friends. Food quality is restrained but prices reflect that and still delicious.

I have wanted to I take my grandson there for years, hoping it would be our new place but sadly I was disappointed. I am a steak lover but was forced to do something I have never done: which was leave most of my steak to be thrown away. It was sadly tougher than leather,it was over cookd and deied out; I couldn’t even cut it let alone chew it . I put catsup on the fries to be able to eat them which is also someI do not normally do. I brought part of my salad home my grandson was shocked.
He said his shrimp was not the worst he has had but it is hard to mess up something at the most you drop it in the deep fryer.
The only reason I didn’t give the waitress five stars was I heard her talking to someone telling them I didn’t eat it all but she said nothing about it to me, they should have compted it since I didn’t even eat a quarter of it.
They may have somethings that are home made but over all we didn’t get anything that was, the French fries even seemed to pe pre- cut and frozen, we make actual home made ones at home.
What they brought us as butter was I can’t believe it’s not butter which I have not eaten since I found out margarine was one molecule away from plastic and was originally made to fatten up turkeys ( look it up if you doubt me).
We won’t be going back or recommending it to anyone else.

If rating based on the food alone, it would be 4 stars. The fried chicken we got was unusually dark in color, and tasted like it had been made earlier in the morning and then simply warmed up when served.
However, what makes up for the rating is the exceptional service. Our server, KC, was bubbly, friendly, and super accommodating. We were treated like locals even though it was pretty clear we were new to the place. She never made us feel out of place and really contributed to the small-town, mom-and-pop shop vibe we were looking for.
Although we found the taste average, the portions are huge. The country style dinners come with 3 sides and a piece of bread, for only $9 ($8.50 if you’re 55 and above).

Hubby and I where looking for a place to sit down and eat yesterday should have went someplace else. Both of our meals were cold the waitress took them to heat up in microwave the meat was tuff but the worst thing was I happened to glance over to the wall and there was a cockroach crawling up the wall!! I took my napkin and killed it and showed it to the waitress and she hurried up and took it and said they had been in 3 times to take care of the situation!! Nothing more was said to me and I find that unexceptable!! Will never ever go back to that place. Only gave one star wouldn’t even give that the woman’s bathroom was out of order and no paper towels in men’s bathroom.

May 2022 Edit, sadly, the past two times we have tried chicken there it was really dry, and the breast was oddly cut down the center, and tough. We will order something else next time.
Our Place is family owned, and the chicken is amazing! Youre looking at typical old fashioned diner type food. The sides are the same as you would’ve gotten in the 70s from a Woolworth lunch counter. It’s worth the trip if you love chicken, ribs or a good steak. Grab a jar of cinnamon hard tack candy…grandma really did make it. Cost of four pieces of broasted chicken and three sides….$8.95.

The simple and straightforward name of this place reflects how locals claim this place as their own. You’re treated as a regular, whether it’s your first or tenth time, and people want to come back. It’s been around for a while, and I stumbled upon it with a friend while in the area. We decided to eat here and were not disappointed. I got the delicious broasted chicken which was a plentiful and home style meal, with down to earth service that was as good as the food. If you leave ‘Our Place’ hungry, it’s “your fault”.

The food was decent but the atmosphere has much to be desired and the (lack of) service was atrocious. The benches and walls and everything everywhere you looked – even the dishes and silverware – just appeared worn out and used- entire place is dingy looking and did not feel clean. We almost left just from the sheer appearance of the place once we got inside. The worst part, however, was our server who lacked any skill in customer service. She didn’t make any eye contact, tossed menus and silverware on the table at us, walked away when we were asking questions and never once had a smile on her face. I was afraid to even ask for a refill of my drink because her tone was harsh and she cut you off in anticipation of whatever you were saying! She returned to the table only to leave the check. They will not get my business ever again.

Broasted chicken is amazing, and came with 4 pieces, one being a wing that was kind of small. Side portions are American sized and reasonably priced. Service is friendly. My only bad experience here is the parking lot is too small for how many seats it looks like they have.

LarderRoom…Passed through Washington Court House, OH and found Our Place. Imagine a small town Cracker Barrel with big town flavor. Ordered a few country style dinners witch comes with 3 sides. 3 sides! Tried the Broasted Fried Chicken & the Meatloaf. Sides included mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans & Fried A pples. Yep, Fried apples!!! Nap time! Will be back for the Texas Tenderloin!
