I absolutely fell in love with this place!!! I was visiting from out of town over the last week and I swear I ate there at least three times. Everything any staff member recommended at the register I ordered and everything was so yummy! Fast service, always served hot and fresh, great value and the staff are all such adorable gen z kids who are hilarious, friendly, knowledgeable about the product (and truly brightened my day after long hours in the hospital with my dad!). My dad has lived in Ahoskie for so long and never eaten there, but I went SOLO three times! That better say something! This is 1000% my haunt whenever I come to town now. Such a huge menu, there’s a ton of stuff I ran out of time to try..! I also had the butter pecan ice cream one day which was delicious.
My faves in order; grilled catfish with the corn on the cob and broccoli, brisket plate with the coleslaw and side salad, chicken quesadilla with the works. so much love to the amazing young people running the place, absolutely loved the staff as well as the food.

I had the salmon salad with the fish cooked medium with a big cup of fresh sweet tea. It was very delicious and satisfying. The atmosphere was better than I expected. The locals support this business greatly. I had no idea the place was so busy with walk-in and drive-thru orders.

Sorry folks, the food here is not good. What they call brisket is not it. It’s too thin and way too fatty. It’s the great-value version of brisket. Once you had Texas style, you won’t settle for anything less. The chopped chicken was just okay. Adding the Carolina sauce makes it better. The hush puppies were made with some kind of pancake mix or something. They were definitely not made with corn meal. 2 thumbs down. The Mac n cheese was bland. No flavor whatsoever. Had to add pepper to give the taste a boost.
The service was definitely top tier. Those ladies understood their assignment.
The only saving grace that brought my review to 2 stars was the carrot cake. One of the best slices I’ve ever had.
I don’t know if there were new cooks, their main food shipment didn’t come in and they had to improvise…..but today was not their day.

The food here is delicious! Every time I’ve been here I always enjoyed my meal with zero complaints. Always fresh and real ingredients. I HIGHLY recommend visiting here if you’re ever in Ahoskie!

When you enter, you order at the counter. The menu is comprehensive but categorized efficiently for easy selection. We ordered pulled pork, fried okra, pulled chicken, hush puppies, bacon mushroom burger and fries. Everything came out hot and fresh. The hush puppies were good. They could have been cooked a little longer. The fried okra as well. Both were good. The barbecue pulled chicken was good. Good smoked flavor in the barbecue. The pulled pork was the best I’ve tasted this year. Good deep vinegar flavor. I mine just a little more spicier but it was fine. The burger was real good. I think it may compete with some popular chains. Good flavor, cooked to order, cheese melted, and fresh veggies. This one was a good one.

Went in today to get a take out order, ordered 2 BBQ with slaw sandwiches, the flavor was spot on and the amount you get was very generous. We were very pleased with the sandwiches and suggest that anyone wanting a good BBQ sandwich at reasonable prices go to Otto BBQ and Grill.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! This place is AMAZING! Fresh cooked food. Hand made burgers. Impeccable service. This place is 2nd to NONE!! Prices are well worth it. Stop in and you’re greeted like you’re family!! I LOVE IT!!!

I knew this was going to be good as soon as I smelled that smoke while I was walking up. Got the pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato fries to go.. it was delicious! Probably won’t pair these two together again as both were a bit too sweet together for me, but separate the fries are really good, and the BBQ pulled chicken is so flavorful… Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.
