as soon as chef roe told me chef fumi left to open osusume fumio i made a reservation immediately!

honestly i think they’re undercharging for this experience; even after the 15 courses we ordered the uni hand roll and chutoro as encore bites and they were both GASS despite being full
especially considering the price, highly recommend trying this place out!!! (parking is also quite easy since it’s the atwater village for anyone concerned about LA parking)

Fumi-san is my favorite sushi chef in Los Angeles. The quality of his ingredients is always top-notch, and his rice is truly exceptional (even better than what I’ve had in Japan)
Not only does he make amazing food, but he also has a great sense of humor that makes his guests feel truly entertained.

Chef Fumio just opened his new restaurant, continuing his pursuit of nigiri perfection and he’s hit the ground running. The space is intimate yet relaxed, and without a doubt serves the best nigiri to grace Atwater Village. Everyone at our table drove over an hour just to experience the chef’s creations and it was absolutely worth it.
