I was there and ordered $10.99 seafood soup and they insisted changed me 14.99. And I ordered take out still have 10% fee. Overcharge . Also I ordered a seafood soup in the photo and they said they were not able give me all the ingredients because they don’t have.

The food is amazing. The chef on duty Connie was great. She was great at explaining the best dishes and the specialties to try. She came out and made sure we liked our order. Unfortunately, the restaurant has not had a lot of exposure, and it was some what empty. The restaurant is extremely clean and has a lot of potential. We will definitely be back.

This place was so amazing. From the owner to the atmosphere everything was great. I wouldn’t change anything. This is now my regular hangout spot. They have live karaoke. Nice dance floor area. Outside patio is a nice vibe. I can’t wait or to have another function here. Thank you. Such and amazing time I had.

I’m so glad I found this spot! Ostioneria 59 is the perfect mix of casual and lively — plenty of seating, good lighting, and great vibes even when it’s busy. My family and I felt welcome right away. The owner was incredibly humble and engaging, sharing stories and knowing exactly when to give guests their space. The seafood platter (oysters, shrimp, and fish with rice and plantains) was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes were generous and pricing was fair. Whether you’re coming with family or looking to socialize and network, this is one of Houston’s hidden gems. Highly recommend!

I was the only one there so service was great considering there was no one else to wait on. The food was good but prices on the menu are inaccurate and I was charged a higher amount than what was on the menu. To top it off, I was charged a 10% fee that no one could explain. The waitress said it was a “service charge” but could provide no details if it was part of her tip or not. I paid cash so it couldn’t have been a cc fee.

How can you guys call yourselves an “Ostioneria” if you run out of Oysters. Service was abysmal, a Cuban woman who acted like I was a bother even though I was the only customer in the entire restaurant. The salmon was not cooked well and lacked flavor. They also charge a 10% Service fee for absolutely no reason. This place is a joke. Will not be coming back.

Beautiful restaurant. Excellent service. Aguachile verde was really good. And also the Mar y Tierra molcajete. Totally recommend it. They have Banda music on Thursday nights and karaoke on Fridays.
