Amazing italian restaurant at the city centre. Osteria Italiana. We tried the mushroom risotto, carbonara and garlic king prawns. All 10/10. Ambiance cozy and staff all friendly. You could ask for parmesan too and they will give you a generous portion.
The Fork app offers 50% discount too at certain time of day.
Update: came back and tried their meatball pasta and pizza polpette – really good!
Quite disappointed with the serving size of the calamari tho
Update: came back again and bruschetta onions+goat cheese was the bomb!! So so so good!!! We ordered the garlic king prawns again and still tastes so amazing. Arrabiata and cheese burger were also excellent love this place

Came here for the 5pm.com promotion lunch deal which included 2 courses and a glass of wine, the selection was quite limited but food was good and portions generous. Definitely worth it. Service was prompt and great. Many tables available. Definitely will return.

Lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of Merchant City deserving every one of its 5 stars !! We were 4 people and had the fixed price 2 course menu which was exceptional value. This is unpretentious, flavoursome authentic Italian food and we left discussing our next return visit. Mezze Pomadoro and Carbonara were both standout, classic, traditional Italian dishes !
I have to mention Sara our waitress who added to the enjoyment of our evening. She is wonderful and had a smile for all the tables. She is a gem !
I have only positives for this friendly Italian taverna style restaurant which took me to Naples and back for the short while we were there. This is well worth a visit, great value for money and the staff and the food are lovely. Highly recommended. Grazie/Mersi ps came back again and big Merçi to Simo and Shawn Class guys !!

Fantastic Italian restaurant!
Wonderful meatballs and lasagna – truly homemade feel and full of flavor. The waiter was incredibly professional and friendly; impressively, he had only been working there for two days. Very impressed with both the food and the service. Highly recommended

Went here today at lunch time and used a Groupon voucher.The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. My partner order a chicken risotto, my daughter ordered a chicken Caesar salad and I had the chicken burger. There was nothing wrong with the risotto and the salad but they were just nice, nothing more nothing less. My burger was just ok. Have made my self a nicer burger in the house. It wasn’t the biggest chicken burger I have ever seen either. It was all on the voucher, but if I had to pay £15 for a just ok small chicken burger I wouldn’t have been happy. Certainly wouldn’t rush back. All in all it was just ok.

Went with a Wowcher deal for 2 courses and glass of wine.
We arrived on time and were shown to our table within 5 min.
Not an ideal spot as we were seated beside a group of men and there was a strong smell of body odour. Obviously this can’t be helped by the restaurant but maybe not sit a couple beside them as there were plenty other empty tables.
The menu wasn’t very varied. Pasta, risotto or pizza for main. Burger or fish was available at a supplement.
I had garlic mushroom for starter. Tiny portion, literally 2 mushrooms and a bundle of mixed leaves.
Main was pizza which was average, base was a bit tough and took a bit of effort to cut with a dinner knife. Steak knife or pizza cutter would have been better.
We didn’t have dessert as it was quite expensive at £7.
When our bill arrived I was charged £1.50 for onion to substitute pineapple on the pizza. I queried with the waiter and he said he didn’t realise I wanted to swap the toppings and he would be told to charge for the onion anyway-I specifically asked to have onion instead of pineapple. He obv seen I wasn’t impressed as he came and refunded the cost before we left.
Toilet was just a single room for use by male and female. Strong smell of urine in the room and puddles on floor around the toilet. Not a great experience.

Where to start …arranged a Wowcher voucher for friends as a day out. On arriving we could not get the voucher code due to the WiFi in the restaurant.
We struggled to get a signal but after 45 minutes the “ manager “ put in a passcode …all he said was ask for it .
So we gave him the reference number then said he needed the Qr code
We tried again outside and we eventually got it ..then he said it was not active.
We had a deal for 6 people waiting and eventually we gave up as the “manager” said contact wowcher to get a refund .
Another customer heard what was going on and told us that they had the same issue, they do it all the time.
We showed the restaurant their reference number, then the voucher reference number eventually we got the QR number and voucher details but they insisted it was not active.
The only option was to have our dinner …but still addition cost to us about the voucher deal.
Another couple told us they do it all the time forcing people with no option but to take the main and additional cost.
Out of 6 starters 4 were ok .
The main courses came food was not the best or what you expect.
One of us had to wait 20 minutes for the mail course coming. The food all I can say is mediocre. No flavour pasta bit hard . Lasagne not hot probably sitting under heat lamps at the front door.
While we finished our food we sat for 30 minute before the table was getting cleared . We asked for the bill it was there in seconds .
We all tried to log in to the WiFi …after asking other staff who put in a password , but still did not work .
On leaving I told the “ manager if they only had working WiFi for people to produce the relevant voucher deals this would have not happened . Service is not what you except from a city centre restaurant.
He tried to blame us , but there was no WiFi, customers were locked out of it.
I was asked to leave and not to return …
Don’t worry I won’t ..
Attitude from “manager” terrible, felt like I was scammed .
Staff not interested in anything not once did any one ask everything ok.
So be aware ….I would give this place a wide berth .
Get better food and service elsewhere.
And make you welcome and encourage people to return.
All 6 people said what a absolute ridiculous place .
we paid for what we ate and left . No gratuity but advise them get you WiFi unlocked. Don’t treat customers like idiots .

Had valentine’s dinner here, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. I got the bruschetta, bolognese & tiramasu and everything was so tasty. I also tried some of my husbands pizza which was delicious. The waiter & waitress that dealt with us were both so lovely, and the food was out hot & quick! Lovely food, staff & atmosphere and will definitely visit again, thank you!

Be careful and check your bill before paying. Myself and 2 others ate here on Saturday 10th January 2026. We had no complaints other than the waiter who served us, he put our food through as a la cart instead of the set menu for 2 courses. We challenged the price of the bill as we knew it was about £40 dearer than it should be. The waiter clearly seen us ordering from the set menu then tried to say it was a la cart. The manager came over to our table and questioned us about the menu saying” I have a camera behind you i can check”. I said yes please go and check it and you will see clearly what menu we selected our food from. We had the impression he did not believe us. We told him how much we had worked out the bill to be and he accepted the amount. While sitting waiting on the bill to be rectified we felt like scammers which was not nice. Not sure I will go back again.
