Osteria Costa is a casual reprieve where guests enjoy a variety of wood-fired pizzas, handmade pastas, fresh seafood and Italian spirits. Osteria Costa’s vibrant design exudes the class and comfort of the Amalfi Coast with bright colors and rustic touches reminiscent of the picturesque villages along the Italian coastline.
High-ceiling restaurant at the MGM serving wood-fired pizzas, pastas, seafood & Italian spirits.

Ate at other locations and had great service and food. This location is disappointing and service is awful. Food wasn’t temperature hot, more like room temperature. No kids meal option, but the size that was served was a kids meal size but cost over $20. What was supposed to be a pre celebration dinner was not a great one. Portion sizes are small for the cost. Took over an hour to get order placed and then another hour to get food. Lots of empty tables so they weren’t too busy. Too many options in this area, don’t waste your time and money here.

The reviews of this place are absurd. This place has the best vibes and the food is incredible. The chefs attention to detail are noticed. I get why they can’t have a place open that often. You will never wait and the vibes are right. The wine is incredible. Dine in. I love eating at this bar so much. MGM has made major quality improvements overall. You will not regret this meal.

Aside from gambling, me and my friends come to MGM to dine in at Osteria Costa due to Chef Joe.
Chef Joe always has a smile on his face and cooks our food with love, charisma, and speed. He creates an engaging and lighthearted environment that makes me and my friends wanting to come back for second plate every time! I almost never name drop in reviews unless the service is top tier, but honestly Chef Joe deserves it. Chef Joe should get a pay raise ASAP for the value he brings to this restaurant!

Let’s talk about a restaurant, Osteria Costa, located in the MGM National Harbor in Oxon, MD. The entire experience at Osteria was nothing short of amazing. We didn’t have a reservation but were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and did a great job with food and drink recommendations. We started with meatballs and dipped the bread in the red sauce, which was delicious. I ordered the Branzino, which was cooked perfectly, with all the flavors complementing each other well. The shrimp spaghetti was also really good. I had no complaints about the food, service, ambiance, or drinks. You definitely have to give this restaurant a try—you will not be disappointed.

Excellent brunch buffet and very nice servers. The pasta dishes and breakfast items were absolutely delicious. Only one incident, there was some confusion about which line was for omelettes and which line was for pasta. Some of the other patrons were combative regarding who was in line first. Unfortunately, this is what you get with the “others” . Overall, excellent food and service. I highly recommend!

This is not my first bad experience at Osteria Costa. I am local and have dined here for their Sunday brunch and other occasions. All dining experiences have resulted in unacceptable food delays and service. I haven’t had any issues with getting drinks at the bar with no food service. We came to Osteria Costa to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Laura, the manager, was also the greeter/hostess. She was very upbeat, polite and professional. She should be the model for the rest of the staff. Once seated at our table (we had a 7PM reservation but had to wait at the bar for a table), we ordered the Valentine’s Day special menu. We waited, waited, waited and waited for our food. We were out of drinks so walked to the bar to get them even though we had a server Imani (sp?). We decided to take our food to go except for the first course since it included raw oysters. We also spoke to the assistant manager Fabiano. The staff and kitchen seemed overwhelmed. It took well over an hour to get the appetizer which is completely unacceptable in the food service industry. It was good. We spent almost two hours there just waiting for our “To Go” order. When we opened the containers, the spaghetti al fruitti di mare did not have much seafood. It was more like one clam, one shrimp and one mussel as pictured. The spaghetti was ok but anyone can make it. The gnocchi was tasty. There were only two scallops for the pan roasted scallops and they are in the fridge with the rest of the food so I cannot comment on the rest of it. There is an opportunity for this restaurant to improve. We hope that Laura and Fabiano can turn this place around. Everyone, including our server, was apologetic. I understand you cannot serve food that is not there to serve. The food wasn’t horrible but if you want exceptional food and service at the MGM, I highly recommend Voltaggio Brothers. They are consistent with both food quality and service.

This is my second time dining at Osteria Costa and the food was just as amazing as I remember from three years ago! That being said, we ordered the Fritto Misto appetizer (the fried shrimp dish in the pictures) which had a wonderfully light, flaky texture from the batter they used, and incredible dipping sauces. The main course was a difficult decision to choose from, between the NY Strip or the Grilled Branzino, so as you can see the Branzino won! It was light, but flavorful, though I don’t like peppers on my fish, they prepared the dish wonderfully. The second entrée was the classic Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp and that was absolutely amazing! It was the sauce for me. That is always a safe, and delicious bet that will do well reheating the next day without drying out. Though, if you’d like, ask for extra sauce on the side to take home. All in all, our bill was roughly $130 which is a little high for 1 appetizer, 1 bottle of San Pellegrino, 2 entrées, two glasses of wine, and mediocre service. It was the 4th of July, so it was extra busy, but they seemed to have taken forever with each course, even forgetting our Fritto at first, though I wanted to at least rate the food for how wonderful it was!
Would I go back? Yes. Is the pricing fair? No. Considering the environment of the casino/hotel, does it “make sense”? Sure.

Saturday night 2/7/26. Under staffed. Empty tables, no crowd, and still had to wait 15 min to be seated. Hostess was apathetic. Manager, Hugo, was polite, but trying to be our server and bartender with long waits between our greet, our drink order. Atmosphere was loud with music inside clashing with noise and music out in promenade.
Bread was stale, coke was flat,
Based on where things were trending, we got up and left and went over to Ginger for a much better experience where they were staffed., hustling, and engaged with customers .

We had the brunch buffet here on a Sunday morning. The food choices are limited, but the ambiance was nice and we added on bottomless mimosas for fun. Chef Joe was a pleasure to speak with and he made some banging pasta at the pasta bar. Go give him a visit!
