We had a wonderful dinner here! Our server, Angelica, was very attentive and kind and had great menu recs. The food came out really fast and was delicious. We loved the BYOB and it was super simple, someone opened our wine for us right away and there was no uncorking fee! The only thing that was off was the creme brule was a thick texture instead of light and creamy, but still tasted great. It is a loud and lively environment, but we could all still talk with each other.

thanks to an exceptional server TY. He was like a one-man band, efficiently managing a full house with ease. The food was overall great, but the diavolo seafood was a bit disappointing, resembling more of a soup than a dish. Despite that, the overall service and atmosphere made the evening memorable. I’m giving a five-star rating primarily because of the incredible service provided by the waiter!

Due to holidays and possibly over booking themselves, we had a work party booked and they were short staffed it seemed so it took almost an hour for water and appetizers. Some people had to leave part way through eating because it had been a couple hours already. The staff was super nice but the restaurant dropped the ball on that. They did the best they could. Also they were supposed to cut our cakes but they didn’t, they gabe us a small plastic cutter. Disappointing there too. The bruschetta was phenomenal. Ceasar salad too. Chicken parm was good. Average. Would probably go there again in the office season. Nit the staffs fault, but a decent experience overall. The place was beautiful

Traveled to Philly for the Eagles vs Bears game to discover this Italian Gem. Turns out we were really lucky to get last minute reservations as they are always booked. They are known to be the BEST Italian Restaurant in Philly. Did it meet the expectations…absolutely. The food was delicious and loved the small sourdough bread.
The appetizers were so good. Most importantly our server Ty was the bomb !! He remembered all the orders and he was witty.

I ordered the shrimp, calamari, scallop, penne pasta and a garden salad with the classic olive oil and balsamic dressing. Adil was my server and was fantastic explaining the menu and serving me during my time at the restaurant. Bring your wine! No cork fee enjoy some high quality Italian food.

The food was really good, we loved the atmosphere!
Overall we are gonna be back to taste other dishes!
The risotto itself was amazing but the seafoods in it were mediocre!
The scicilian pasta was good but,the spinach taste was empowering all the other tastes, we couldn’t even taste the eggplant.
The gnocchi chicken was amazing, was our favorite dish. The sauce was really rich and it tasted amazing!
The capellini scampi was a bit bland, but with some Parmesan and pepper it tasted good too!

I came here for a family birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is a little bit tight, but I knew that from pictures going in so it did not bother me. We ordered a ton of appetizers, entrées, and desserts, and everything was well received personally, I ate the Ama Chicken Which came with a side of garlic pasta. I do wish I was given a choice of sauce for the pasta, but in fairness, I didn’t ask to change it anyway. For dessert I had the lemon cello cake and it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this for anyone in Philly and our waiter. Ty was absolutely awesome.

BYOB! Food was great and was served quickly. Pizza is super cheesy. Caesar salad was amazing, and they did not skimp out on the dressing. The desserts are homemade, and were delicious. Ty, our server, was super friendly and provided great service. The restaurant is a super cute place!

Osteria Ama Philly on Chestnut Street is a cozy gem nestled in downtown Philly. The interior was festively decorated for the holidays. The ambiance and general vibe were extremely lively. The patrons were a mix of couples, families with children, and groups.

The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and always in motion. Their handoffs of food and empty plates were well choreographed. Our waiter Ty was exceptional. He gave fantastic recommendations from the menu and seemed to anticipate our needs.

The meal itself was simply superb. The food came out piping hot, well plated, and it was nothing short of delicious. I highly recommend ordering the seafood risotto, Chicken Parmigiana Rose, and the Margherita Pizza.

I wished we could have tried more items from the menu, but the portions are quite hearty. We had enough leftovers to take home for another meal. I know Osteria Ama will definitely be on my list for my next trip to Philly.

A few other items of note. Osteria is BYOB with no corkage fees, which is unheard of these days. Local parking is a bit of a challenge. Reservations are highly recommended.

I had seen reviews, and was glad to say they were spot on. The service was great-very attentive waiter, even though he was running the whole floor (it was lunch time). Loved the ambiance. Music wasn’t too loud, seating was cozy but not where people are on top of you. Started off with some warm, crusty bread with oil and balsamic. Then tried the Margarita pizza appetizer (outstanding flavor and crust). For the main dish, had the chicken parmesan roast with penne on the side. The chicken was crispy on the outside, but still moist. The sauce just made it the perfect dish. Prices were great for the portions that were served. This will be on my return list for sure.
