If i could give it 100 stars i would. I tried this place out a year ago when it opened it was a little too busy. The food was good. There’s nowhere to sit and the drive-through was closed. Food was exceptional. All polite, clean place too. I gave us some time to let the Rush calm down, It’s been my two times a week spa and I love it. I’m so happy Oscars Taco Shop is in Alabama.

We tried out Oscars and were impressed! The menu has a great balance of classic and unique offerings all at excellent, affordable pricing. We tried the street tacos and the fajitas and both were great, and the portions were good for the price. It’s a fast casual atmosphere, so you order at the counter before taking a seat. Staff was friendly and the dining area was clean. The only thing we wish was different was their closing time – wish they were open later!

Sent our son in tonite for a take out order. He had heard good reviews from his coworkers so we decided to give it a try. We got a few different styles of their burritos and an order of street tacos. The food was really good. All was seasoned well, had fresh ingredients, and an ample portion of food. Very reasonably priced as well (a lot cheaper and better than you can find in similiar style restraunts). My son said the staff was very nice and accomodating. Will definately be back!

High quality food in a fast food atmosphere! Everything is always fresh and flavorful. Tons of options for everyone, and they have massive breakfast burritos as well! Highly recommend for a quick bite.

My breakfast burrito was HUGE and so good especially when paired with some of their custom salsa.

Marry, me, Oscar? Okay, okay. I’ll write a real review. I’ve eaten here 3 or 4 times now and each time, I’m so happy. A pastor taco is what prompted me to make this proposal. The first couple times I ordered they gave me extra food. I ordered guac for my fish tacos and they sent more guac, along with chips! I’ve had fish tacos, a carnitas quesadilla, a shrimp burrito, and most recently, a shrimp taco and a pastor taco. I recommend them all. I love that they have seafood options. I agree with another reviewer: this IS the best Mexican food in Alabama! When it comes to restaurants in Athens, for reference, I consider the Mexican and Asian ones to be of the best quality. This one exceeds them all! The food is high quality, flavorful, authentic (imo) and fresh. I ordered delivery each time, so I have no idea what the restaurant looks like or what eating in would be like.

I will try to rate this establishment based on other Mexican food in Alabama and not Mexican food in San Diego. That said, it is the best Mexican food we have had in Alabama. Would I drive an hour again for rolled tacos or a carne asada burrito? No. I was excited to see rolled tacos on a menu in Alabama, too, but they do not compare to ones from home. I am rating them four stars as the establishment is clean, the service can use some work, but that will come as they get their feet wet, and the food for us was just ok.

Tengo que OSCAR’S. I just have to review this because today I came in at 206 and ordered a Diablo Shrimp burrito that had way too much rice. A short burrito. I then went up and asked her for some pico.De gallo because i tried to better it. And the pico de gallo had no cilantro. Either Oscar”s Taco Shop didn’t want to cut too much cilantro and work too hard or you didn’t order enough cilantro.
You’re slacking and lacking.

I ordered street tacos on Instacart and got to the window to pick up my order. I asked nicely for some salsa, and she was rude and gave me an attitude, saying that next time I need to come in and get it because this is only for pickup. Like, yeah, that’s clearly what I was doing picking up my order that I ordered . They have a fridge next to them with salsa in it for a reason; there’s no need to get an attitude over salsa.

I ordered from door dash a burrito with chips in salsa. The door dash lady specifically asked is everything in there before she left n the lady that works there said yes. Well the chips n salsa weren’t in there n of course they don’t speak English there. If you can’t speak English your business will fail end of story. N I understand it’s a Mexican taco place but this is America get it together.
