We have been eating here for several years and they never disappoint. We have ventured out and tried other sushi places now and then but nothing ever comes close. The staff is always friendly and they are quick too! Their chicken fried rice is perfection. ❤️

Ordered inside and waited. Nicest people who recommended amazing food. Got the chicken and shrimp hibachi, combination noodles, and a specialty roll and holy cow was it amazing. High quality ingredients and great flavor. Definitely going back here more. Wish we could eat inside.

Small, family owned sushi place by the looks of it. Service was good, restaurant looked clean, pricing was fair (if not cheaper than other sushi restaurants in the area). I got the sushi sashimi platter which was excellent.

When walking in the decor looks nice and what I imagined. The lighting is slightly dim, with dark walls and black ceiling. I ordered the Shumai ( Shrimp and pork Japanese style steamed dumplings), Osaka Chicken Bento Box, and American Dream Roll. All of the food was delicious. The staff was super friendly, and the food arrived at my table within 5 mins of each dish. I am not an expert on Japanese cuisine, but everything tasted well. The Wasabi paste was not as strong as I expected but it also tasted satisfactory. The price of the food was not expensive either total cost including soft drink was $31.37. Overall I was pleased, and slightly suprised of a Japanese restaurant in House Springs mo. I would recommend Osaka Sushi & Grill to anyone who is a fan of Japanese food or wants to expand their palate.

Super delicious sushi! I walked in and ordered to go, and received my food in 10 minutes. The hostess was very friendly, she even offered her own recommendations!! I will definitely be back.
The only negative comment I have is that they don’t do any substitutions in their sushi rolls. I understand that is their policy but that was a bit of a bummer for me.

I wish they’d open for dine in as my husband and I would love to eat dinner there. Luckily they’re close enough that the food is still fresh when we get it home. Service is always fast and the food is always good.

When Osaka first opened in House Springs a few years back , I was a regular customer. The restaurant was nicely decorated, the vibe was good. Most importantly the Sushi was really good. I ‘ve been lucky enough to eat Sushi in Hawaii, Japan, Los Angeles and even in Alaska. I was really excited that the Sushi was vibrant and fresh tasting. Around a year in I noticed the servers were very young and inexperienced. Noticed a very rapid turnover. One server actually started arguing with me with a very surly tone. The next year the food remained high quality, but the service continued to suffer. Eventually their very young boy that I assumed was the owners son began taking take out orders. Nice kid I’m sure but he was wholly incompetent and not especially friendly.
When Covid hit I stopped eating at restaurants, including Osaka. Yesterday I stopped in to place a takeout order. They have closed up the dining room and only do take out now. The original ambiance of the restaurant is completely gone. Tables and chairs stacked up to the side of a very dark main room. All decorations gone except a not very attractive fish tank. I ordered a Bento Box. The steak was a cheap cut of meat that had very little flavor. The sushi was very poor quality. Everything in the Bento Box was flavorless. The best tasting item in the Box was the cream cheese inside the Crab Rangoon! Everything but the sushi seemed rubbery , not crisp. Probably microwaved. It was sad. There was a depressing air about the restaurant. Not sure if Covid or their employees drug them down. I tried to make small talk with the owner while waiting for my order. She was not friendly at all. Her husband who made the Sushi smiled at me while he handed me my order. But the smile was forced.
I was extremely disappointed and I won’t be going back.
