My husband and I went here on a rainy day on our first night in Vancouver. The tempura udon is just what we needed. The broth was delicious. I had the tiger roll and it was equally as yummy. They came around to refill everyone’s hot tea. Lovely place and lovely staff. This will remain on our list of places to eat whenever we’re in town!

Very good sushi and nice staff. We had a few rolls and they were all very good. We also had a beef udon, which was okay, nothing spectacular.

I ordered the full spider roll and miso soup. The miso soup was solid and I really enjoyed the roll! I purposefully wanted to order extra so that I could eat leftovers later in the night, however, since I came by myself, I think my server may have thought I only wanted to order a single roll instead of the two I initially said during my order. I was not able to try another roll, sadly, BUT I would still come back to try more rolls as the spider roll I did receive tasted very good! Otherwise the service was friendly.

I took my close friend to Osaka Sushi on August 1st. I absolutely love Japanese food and eat sushi almost every week, but this was my friend’s first time trying it. I’ve already explored nearly all the sushi spots in Richmond and found my favorites there, and lately, I’ve started checking out places downtown to discover new go-tos near work—lol!

Our server, Yuri, was incredibly sweet and patient. Since I had to explain everything to my friend, it took us a little while to decide, but Yuri never rushed us. Throughout our visit, she checked in often to see if we needed anything else—more tea, more water—always with a smile. I really hope I get her again the next time I go, because Osaka Sushi has officially become one of my favorites! It did not disappoint.

We ordered the Crispy Roll, Ichiban Roll, Sockeye Salmon Sashimi, Miso Soup, Seaweed Salad, Spicy California Roll, and Spicy Chopped Scallop Roll. Everything was delicious—definitely some of the best rolls I’ve had in Vancouver. My personal favorite was the Chopped Scallop, while my friend loved the Crispy Roll the most.

Can’t wait to go back!

Update:
I went to Osaka Sushi for the second time with someone who has tried sushi in different parts of Japan, and Osaka Sushi did not disappoint. I was also happy to return for my third visit on December 11th, this time on my own.
Once again, I ordered the Crispy Roll, which has been a favorite of mine since my first visit, and it was just as amazing as before. This time, I also tried the Beautiful BC Roll. While the flavors were great, I do have one small suggestion: this roll is larger than the others and tends to fall apart. Making it slightly smaller could make it easier to eat in one bite and allow all the ingredients to be enjoyed together rather than getting half of each roll in a single bite. This is only a friendly suggestion.
Osaka Sushi remains one of my favorite sushi places, and I will definitely be back.

Some of the best sushis I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to Japan). These are so flavourful and fresh! We stumbled upon it by pure luck and went 3 days in a row. The ratio price/quality is great, as we managed to order enough to fill 4 people up and paid around 15$ each.

Get the red dragon roll and the spicy combo, you won’t regret it:)

In general, in Vancouver I was very shocked by how good the quality of seafood is. Indeed, this was one of the best sushi in the last couple of years that I have tried. If you are in Vancouver, you must try this sushi. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is also quite good. The only thing is that you should try better with the karagi . These karagi were so-so. Thank you. ☺️

I stopped by on my way to the park for a walk, and I really like a bento with a beer. Especially the food portion is generous.
