I’m not sure why the reviews are so bad. The food is a great price and the staff is friendly. I get their lunch specials and sushi frequently. The food is consistent in quality. They added a lunch buffet recently that they are trying to spread the word about. If it becomes popular enough I hope they’re able to add sushi to it.
This place is definitely a hidden gem. Worth checking out.

Wow! The Boone Special Roll is by far Boone, NC’s best roll. So fresh, always perfect and the staff and owners are so welcoming! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good sushi or a variety of cuisine!

Two stars only because of the manager. Barely any soup in the small wonton, no vegetables in lo mein unless you ask for them and don’t expect fried dumplings to actually be fried. The server does not understand English well enough to be dealing with customers and laughed at me when I tried to explain the issue and I wasn’t happy. She then brought me the same thing but fully steamed and walked off when I again tried to explain.
The manager understood better and agreed that they consider fried to only be the bottom and took the dumplings off the check, which was appreciated but we had to go somewhere after being here to get something else to eat. Here as a visitor looking for good restaurants in Boone/Blowing Rock as we come every year, and this isn’t one we will ever be back to.

Will not return. I hate to leave a bad review when the staff were very kind, but woah. We were the only ones there and that should’ve been a sign. The tofu was rock hard… just inedible. For almost $50 it was simply not worth it. Please consider going anywhere else.

Service is extremely slow. It took over an hour to get our meal. The food was fair and most of the vegetables were still uncooked/frozen. No white sauce/lobster sauce. No drink refills, no inquiries if we needed anything. Would not recommend it

This was our 1st time here and debated on coming due to some of the reviews but we decided to give it a try and Im very glad we did. 5stars plus… My husband and I got the Shrimp Bento box and also the Chicken & mushroom Hibachi. Food was quick and delicious. Staff was very friendly and courteous.

Whatever you do, don’t order the soup, specifically the Seafood Soup.
Went in around 5 PM on a Monday and we were the only ones inside. Took us about 20ish minutes to get our food (seafood soup and wonton soup) and it was just simply not appetizing at all. We took one bite and got a sushi roll and general tso’s chicken instead. Took another 20 minutes for those to come out while we were still the only ones in the restaurant. The food was better but it’s pretty hard to mess up a sushi roll and general tso’s chicken. Now it’s been about an hour and both of our stomachs are hurting real bad.
Simply don’t recommend eating here as there are far better options in Boone and the surrounding area.
