Osaka in Northampton is an incredible spot for hibachi and cocktails! We had the chicken hibachi and the filet mignon & chicken hibachi—both were absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly, and packed with flavor. The lychee martini was a great surprise—light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. We sat on the enclosed patio and really enjoyed the peaceful view while we ate. The service was excellent, and the owner is very friendly and welcoming. You can tell they care about their customers and the experience. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

DON’T EAT HERE IF YOU CAN’T EAT GLUTEN
Sadly, the food I was served contained gluten despite informing the server of my intolerance/allergy. I found out because I bloated like a balloon with some abdominal pain.
Anyways. The food we ordered was decent, at best. Not much flavor and the chicken cooked for my fried rice was pretty dry and flavorless. I think it’s worth noting my sushi was pretty good. First time having a Philly roll with raw salmon as, apparently, their smoked salmon has gluten (I’m assuming due to a shared surface?) I also wonder if the food quality tanked due to how busy they were, if the chef was in a hurry to just get the food out ASAP.
The food was served quickly, and we were able to get timely seating considering how hectic the place was. Our server was also very considerate and helpful.

We have patronized hibachi steakhouses up and down the East Coast; the chef at Osaka was one of the best; food was perfectly prepared and he was very personable. While the main course was great, we weren’t wasn’t blown away by the sushi appetizer. Overall service excellent: seating a little tight

Osaka pulled through with a pleaset dining experience with our party! My wife was slamming back her Pad Thai. I had to remind her multiple times to slow down while eating. The sushi was so fresh and presented very well. This place holds high standards across the board. I recommend this place to anyone.

I have been here a few times, I have had the hibachi and the sushi. The ambience is wonderful, service was always good, but I just wasn’t overly impressed with the food. It was kind of bland every time. For me, it’s about the value, if the price was lower I probably would have rated it slightly higher, but you can get better sushi for same or less just up the street.

We were seated fast and ordered the chicken and steak Hibachi with fried rice and vegetables. It was served with salad and it was truly an experience. The seating was a joy .out on the porch in evening air was wonderful as was the food and the service was as well. Will definitely go again to this great restaurant.

This was my first time at a Japanese Steakhouse. I didn’t know what to expect other than what I had been told. I was really surprised at the fun I had and how good the food was. I went with three other friends all of whom were their first experience. The chef kept it lively and intrigued me with his skills. My food, which was steak, rice and vegetables was perfect and tasty. It was so good that I even ate the mushrooms which I never eat normally. I would tell anyone looking at going here with some reserve to go. You’ll like it if you give it a chance.

I made an appointment for Hibachi for a party of 10 to celebrate a birthday, and we all had a great time.
The chef was super entertaining and fun! We had a great time overall.
I had the shrimp and scallops hibachi, and it was very flavorful. I also ordered the pear margarita, and it was super delicious. Must try!
The service from the waiter could’ve been a little better if we didn’t feel like we were rushed to leave all we consumed. Other than that, we enjoyed our visit.

Had our girls night out Christmas party tonight. There were 5 of us. The young girl had ZERO personality, came across as rude and not very attentive. Our cook was good, but we were in and out in 45 minutes. We all felt like the food was ok, basically we drank salt. We will not go back EVER. We told the staff at the desk, he looked at us like we were from a different planet. We asked for management he had no clue what we were saying. GO TO K’s in WESTFIELD MUCH BETTER!!! Don’t waste time or money here!!
