recently visited Orphysse Chaussette, and unfortunately, the experience was mixed.
The service was quite slow, which made the meal less enjoyable from the start. One waiter for the whole restaurant – not ok.
The restroom was also not very clean, which was disappointing.
On a positive note, the mushroom mille-feuille appetizer was absolutely amazing — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. It was definitely the highlight of the meal.
However, the steak was overcooked and ended up being overly well done, which made it tough and not very enjoyable.
Overall, there were some strong points in the kitchen, but improvements in service, cleanliness, and consistency with main courses would really enhance the dining experience.

The building seems to be very old, so the restaurant has a lot of charming, quaint elements. The food was quite nice and served in appropriate portions for lunch. There was only one waiter for the entire restaurant, but he was nice and attentive enough.

Cozy little restaurant with special homemade dishes and original combinations. Very good value for money and very friendly staff. We suggest that you ditch the teabags from Albert Heijn and start to serve real tea. We were quite shocked!

We were initially drawn in by the old Guide Michelin stickers on the door, 2005-2015, but the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations.
The dining room was uncomfortably cold, and I wish I’d brought a sweater. The food was acceptable but nothing remarkable, especially given the price point. When I ordered the Entrecôte, I was served a different cut of meat instead. While it wasn’t bad, the waiter should have mentioned the substitution when taking my order.
Service was understandably slow, as there appeared to be only one waiter managing the entire restaurant. He did his best and maintained a pleasant demeanor, but the wine arrived late with one of our courses. I could see he was trying, though the service didn’t meet the standard you’d expect at this level.
Overall, this might work for a casual lunch, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a special dinner out.

Went there with my partner for the resto days and we loved this restaurant. The service was great, the food was incredibly good and the atmosphere quite romantic. This is a great option for an special occasion. Probably one of the best in Brussels!

Dinner with friends in this restaurant, awarded with the “Lauréat Traveller’s Choice 2020” by Trip Advisor, considered as one of the top 10% of the best restaurants in the world. Wow. Sounds impressive.
Menu of 2 starters, main course and dessert: 52 €. Drink not included.
Now, my opinion:
Pros:
– tasty food, with original combinations and lots of elaborations.
Cons:
– crowded space: 16 people at 6 tables in a tiny room;
– too much time between courses. Dinner took us just over 3 hours in total. For my friends this was not a problem, because we had time to talk in a relaxed way. For me it took forever;
– very slow service. The waiters didn’t seem to have any energy.
To be honest, I will consider other options before coming back and repeat here.

Very cosy restaurant with French cuisine! Friendly staff and good choice of quality food! We noticed that evening is a little crowded so we had lunch and it was great! Good choice from menu of the day with affordable price:)
