Beautiful ambiance, the mirrors made it feel like a submarine and the booths and dark walls were cozy.

The service was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Our food came out fast and the portion size was generous. We ordered the popcorn “shrimp” which were prawn sized, served on rice and with a delicious drizzle. The volcano roll and fried tuna roll.

Best fries in the DMV!
Very satisfying (and pretty) $25 dollar lunch special, with miso soup added separately (very cold day). Got fries as my app, which were seriously amazing – perfect crisp, best fry sauce I’ve ever had. Enjoyed the whole meal tremendously!! Hope they add a dessert soon, like a roulade matcha roll or those little mochi ice cream bites at whole foods. Either way, will be back for lunch date – meal and ambiance (especially for a kosher place) top notch.

Oro Nami is a real standout in Washington, DC. The restaurant has a modern, stylish ambiance that feels both comfortable and refined, making it a great spot for a night out or even a relaxed meal.

The sushi and other menu items are fresh and thoughtfully prepared, with a nice balance of flavors and presentation. The bar also has a solid selection that pairs well with the food without being overwhelming.

Another plus is the location—it’s close to the capital and easily accessible from major airports, which makes it a convenient choice whether you’re local or just passing through.

A wonderful option for anyone looking for quality kosher sushi in a great setting.

Delicious rolls, great liquor list, and big healthy portions. Was surprised by the size of the sushi rolls. Really impressed.

Great vibe, tasty (American style) sushi, and friendly service. Great to have a kosher sushi place in DC. Entrance is marked with a small sign by the street. Door leads straight to stairs down to the restaurant.
It’s not a very big place, but there were a few free seats Saturday night (it was mostly full), which surprised me.

what can I add that hasn’t been said already? Oro Nami absolutely deserves such a high rating! my boyfriend and i stopped by, as it was a short walk from our hotel, and we were so blown away by the service and quality of food that we returned a second time in the same week during our short stay. though neither of us have any dietary restrictions that would require a kosher diet, it did mean a lot to us that this was an option to people.

the service was prompt and friendly, and the food was perfect. the first go around, i got traditional rolls (maki, spicy tuna, salmon) and my boyfriend got a couple specialty rolls. the specialty rolls are *large* portions! even for him, someone who works out often and eats a lot, couldn’t finish 3 of the specialty rolls. definitely worth every penny to have something to take back to our hotel. highly recommend the orange dragon, rainbow roll, and any of the traditional rolls offered.

the location is wonderful if you’re staying nearby, as it was a quick walk for us. the decor, the service, and the food make this a memorable experience and will absolutely be a stop we make the next time we are in DC.

A sushi speakeasy! One of the cooler kosher venues out there. After a long day of touring in DC, we went to Oro Nami to eat up and recharge. We were treated to an absolute Sushi feast. The fish was fresh, the rolls were expertly assembled. We each enjoyed our first roll so much, we ordered a second item. I really enjoyed my volcano roll and after eating my first “Sushi burrito”, I don’t know if I can ever go back to eating it any other way. The owner and manager are A+ people who take deep pride in the food they serve and the service they provide. The food came out quick and we felt well taken care of. We hope to swing by the next time we’re in DC! Thanks again!

Came for lunch. It’s hard to find because there’s no sign outside and entry way is a random door between two stores.
The food is great.

With a Fantastic staff and a great menu (especially at the bar), DC finally has a new can’t-miss sushi spot. I ordered the omakase and the spring rolls, both were excellent and i can’t wait to have them again.

My personal recommendation has to be the blossom martini, perfect for the season and goes well with the sushi.

Gotta be the best kosher sushi I’ve ever had. The quality of the ingredients is just always superior. And Sam, the manager, is always super warm but professional too.
