The Food:
Pork Belly Burnt ends with cheese grits, phenomenal.
Beet salad was light and fresh, very good.
Shrimp and grits with the redeye gravy was executed perfectly
Jagerschnitzel- pork loin with a mushroom gravy; 10/10.
Dessert was a mousse cup. And it was what dreams are made of.
Trivia on thursdays looks fun.
Would recommend 100%.
I got the Roseda Farms Burger and my husband got the jambalaya. The meat was raw inside the burger , I specifically asked for well done.. and the pasta was just okay.
We were greeted promptly after walking in for a pickup order but unfortunately, the food just didn’t deliver.
Overall, the food was great especially with the Valentines deal, but is a bit pricier than I had expected for apps. Likewise, these were a bit more upscale than I expected for traditional bar food. The food could need a touch more seasoning at least for their salmon, but the pork belly I had was excellent as was the skirt steak.
In terms of service at least the second time I went, the place was understaffed, but the owner did not that he was the only one in that day. I would also note the bingo was a bit hard to play in the bar area as the numbers were only being shown in the main seating area. This would probably be easy to resolve if they play the numbers at at least one other screen in the second room similar to the events at the Crafthouse in Reston. Patrons and staff were very nice there and the environment was both family friendly and respectful. It was not too crowded and of the people who were there the owner seemed to know his regulars very well.
If it’s your first time here then I highly recommend the 6 beers flight for $13 (cash price). It helps you try the majority of their beers and will help you decide what to order next.
We had the pork belly burnt ends and while they were good the portion felt a bit small or the price.
Overall I’m happy to welcome them to the area and my wife and I will definitely be back!
