Here at Orlando’s, we aim to offer one of the most unique dining, drinking, and socializing environments on Whidbey Island. We are an independent, family owned restaurant and Whiskey bar bringing the amazing charm, hospitality, and cuisine of the South to you at our establishment in downtown Oak Harbor.
Our meats are smoked daily. Our Sweet Tea is brewed in house. All of our sauces are made from scratch. And our deep-fried catfish recipe is original and authentic.

If you are ever in Oak Harbor, I will be the one to vouch Orlando’s is one of the most ideal southern restaurants you could ever visit. Orlando’s perfectly gives you the southern soul food experience. The cooks are immaculate, and the servers are all friendly.

Holy cow, holy pig, holy chicken! Everything smells wonderful, and the flavors!!!!!!! Spicy pork nachos are where it’s at for me. Hubby got a pulled pork sammie with all the fixins. Friendly faces all around. We went in at an off time, so we got a great look at how clean everything was, how vast their dining spaces were, and all the pool tables. It is a crime not to come in and see all the smiling folks! Go get you some!

Very impressed with Orlando’s in every way! Greeted immediately upon arriving, and our server Zack went above and beyond to treat us. Excellent ribs, chicken, fried okra, Mac and cheese, creamed corn and green beans. Very generous servings and everything tasted like I was back in Texas.Shared the homemade cornbread with honey butter for desert. Don’t know about the owners but they must be from the South, you simply cannot get high quality BBQ like this in these parts. Our original greeter acknowledged us as we were leaving to ask us what we thought. We left very happy and will be back. Great job Orlando’s, and thank you for being here.

Excellent service (the best part of the meal) and Christmas decorations well into 2026.
The actual BBQ was just OK. Fork-tender, DRY brisket & ribs.
The sauces were intetesting (one with a little heat was good) and the beans were ok (a bit too sweet for me). Neither my lunch partner nor I are a great fan of their (supposedly) new potato salad (aka casserole).
As much as I wanted to have Orlando’s live up to what others gave written, they missed the mark for me. I’m kind of a brisket snob having sampled it dozens of times over the years in dozens of BBQ joints (large & small) all over the US & Canada.
Todays brisket (while not bad) was way too dry. I prefer a little juiciness. Orlando’s brisket has found a place in the lower part of my top 10. Or perhaps I’m just not that familiar with this particular style of southern BBQ. Then again, my #1 spot for brisket is located in southern Florida.
As far as the ribs go, my dining partner also found the ribs to also be a bit dry. Not bad, just dry.
We gave the food 4 stars.

I was hungry so ordered both the briscuit and pulled pork. Both were pretty good. Tried the Mac and cheese. It was alright. Also tried the green beans and potatoes, those were good. Alexis was friendly and helpful with suggestions.

Look I own a business so I understand how inconvenient it is to have a bad review. That being said I have to be honest about my experience. When we got there we were informed that they were sold out of quite a lot of side dishes to include potato salad and coleslaw staplss for any bbq place. We decided to give it a shot anyway. Then we saw the menu. Unlike other bbq places, there are no plate options every item is individually priced and boy do the prices stack up quickly! Then we ordered drinks. We were informed that they were sold out or replacing most of their alcohol so we had limited options. We asked the waiter to make recommendations and waitied. We were sitting in the bar and there were only 3 other tables in the whole restaurant with people but it took over 20 minutes to get our drinks which were so sour we couldnt even drink them. We also had to remind the server multiple times for the one non alcoholic beverage we ordered. All in all we spent 90 dollars on 2 “plates” of BBQ, 2 alcoholic drinks, and 1 soda and the service was painfully slow on a not very busy night. The decor was nice and the people were plesent but it doesnt justify huge prices for meh food.. honestly the meat was good and all but definitely not worth the price in today’s economy. Will not be going back.

Outstanding barbecue!! We tried the brisket tonight. It was delicious! It was smoky and tender. It pairs well with the coleslaw and the fried okra! Try the guava cider. It’s not too sweet and has a great flavor. Our friends had pulled pork and chicken wings. They both loved their meals too the service is friendly and we felt very welcomed v

100 ⭐️ Five Stars for Orlando’s BBQ in Coupeville!
Wow what an incredible experience! My daughter and I were in town on business and needed a good lunch before our long journey home. We decided to stop at Orlando’s Barbecue and we are so glad we did!
The moment we walked in, we were struck by how clean, welcoming, and cool the atmosphere was. The staff was genuinely friendly and made us feel right at home. While we waited for our food, we sat close to the kitchen window and watched the magic happen — the team worked seamlessly together, smiling and glowing as they prepared orders. It was clear they weren’t just serving food; they were feeding their community with heart.
And when our food arrived? Absolutely AMAZING. You could taste the love and craftsmanship in every bite. Orlando’s is not just a meal — it’s an experience. We left full, happy, and already talking about how we can’t wait to come back!!!
If you’re anywhere near Coupeville, Orlando’s Barbecue is an absolute must-visit
