On a recent trip to Charlotte, NC about two weeks ago, we visited this place twice. This place is awesome. Great customer service and excellent food with huge portions. The blueberry pancakes are amazing. We will definitely be returning again and would certainly recommend this place. Homemade syrups were very good!

Cherry crepes were delicious. It was hectic Sunday lunch as expected. We were given a wait of 30 min but were seated within 5 minutes. Yay! The wait staff and bussers were friendly and did their very best considering the volume of customers in the restaurant.

Some of the best breakfast I’ve had and for a good price. The Dutch babies are AMAZING. It’s like a mix between a crepe and a pancake and with a slight lemony flavor. Not too heavy/greasy or sweet, the perfect way to start off the day. On the savory side, the potato pancakes are light and crispy, and they give you 8 of them. So good and the service is great!

Great home town, open atmosphere!! They have a patio that’s covered by trees when you walk up, so you can wait to be seated if needed. When you walk in, something tells you this food is about to slap (be really tasty), so the hostess sits you down and gives you everything you need. Very attentive servers, pleasant attitudes and willing to accommodate you with whatever you need! We needed to adjust the order, and there was no negative feedback; they fixed the issue and made sure we left with smiles on our faces! Thanks to everyone there, you made the experience enjoyable and I will definitely be back with friends!

I highly recommend the Original Pancakes House. I had the strawberry waffle and added chocolate chips and whipped cream on top. It was extraordinary! The strawberry syrup that came on the side was the best syrup I have ever had. The turkey bacon was also excellent. But the Quiche Lorraine had too much spinach. The atmosphere was diner-like and retro but not fancy. The bathrooms could use a remodel. But the food and service was excellent!
